Thanks, sj. I expect our computer has learned its lesson now.
Hey Beej! Before the computer died I saw your video. I was a little too distracted by the Pretty of Beej to focus on the funny, so I had to watch it twice.
We lost our first game on Saturday. Our pitchers got the yips and were walking people. We made a stirring come back and came within one run of catching them, but couldn't quite get there. Emmett had some of the walkitis, but still struck out three in his one inning. He also went 3-3 with a triple, providing about half the team's total offensive output.
In Matilda news she's comically almost able to sit up on her own. There's wobbling and toppling and then she either contendedly munches on her fist face down, or lands in your neighbor's lap and looks up with a pleased grin. Also, she rolled over for me. The sly boots has been rolling over at daycare but hiding this fact from us at home.
She and Emmett are developing their own relationship where he sings opera to her (as he imagines it) and flaps his arms around in an octopus dance. She finds these japes very amusing.
Also, she seems to have decided that breast feeding is all well and good, but what she
really
likes is to control her own destiny hold the bottle and look around.
BTW, I was at JoAnn Fabrics on Saturday and saw "Hello Kitty" pez dispensers.
My Dansko's ripped! I'm gonna have to take them in to be re-sewn. In the meantime, I have no idea what shoes I'll wear. They're all I've worn for about six months (besides my winter boots). So, what am I doing? Looking at Danskos on Zappos.com, 'cause they'll overnight!
I'm ridonculous sometimes.

You are the sweetest thing.
The sly boots! What a great phrase and a perfect descriptor for "Matlid-I'll take over the world, just you wait and see." And yay for the rolling over. Perhaps she was practicing at daycare so as to perfect her form. That way, she could real it stick the landing when showing off for you.
The Em-Mat visuals are warming my heart.

Yeah. I looked over there. Not what I was hoping for. It's ok. I'll just wear my boots or something. I'll survive. Stupid diamond shoes and their tightness.
t first world gripe
Yesterday when all I was doing was flying my hair looked fabulous. Today when I'm presenting in front of complete strangers and seeing hundreds of the independent teachers in the North it's a complete disaster. Argh!

When I bring her out in the morning (and she's very sunny and cheerful in the morning), Emmett's usually on the living room floor in his pajamas, eating Apple Jacks and watching Nickelodeon. Then he sees her and makes gimme-gimme gestures, and he stands her up on his lap, and she stares at him with her fist jammed into her drooly but smiling mouth. And he leans forward until his forehead is touching hers and is talking to her and telling her she's cute, and then he declares, "I love you!" and hugs her like a pink drooly teddy bear. She promptly leans in and begins to gum and lick his shoulder. Emmett is both charmed and disgusted by this.
Hec, are you trying to kill us with the cute?
That is just too cute.
Some may remember me complaining a while back about switching tasks at my job. Today I found a huge silver lining... I've traded up on the suitemates. Instead of crazy!Neo-Con, I now have Fun Drummer Who Just Lent Me Freaks and Geeks! Definitely a large perk.
