Do I wish I was somebody else right now. Somebody not... married, not madly in love with a beautiful woman who can kill me with her pinkie!

Spike's Bitches 35: We Got a History

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Our wings are not tired.

what are your kissaversaries? Not so much the actual day as the event of the kissage?

For our first date I had invited Brendon to my house to "study" since we were in school together. Brainiac that he was, I knew he didn't actually study, but it was an excuse to get together. He drove to Delray, about 40 miles from campus, and we packed a few things and headed to the beach.

We were both totally expecting this to be a one time thing. No way in the world was he going to date someone who lived so far away from the dorms. It was only 4 months after Stephen had died and I was looking for a momentary distraction from my grief. There was no way I was going to become involved, ever again. It was my birthday, which was info not disclosed to Brendon. (he still might not know)

So we ate, drank, and were very merry at the beach. We kissed, and had sex on the beach. Yes, we were sluts.

That was 19 years ago my last birthday. As dear Brendon says, it was the longest one night stand of his life. A few months later we started the business together. 17 years ago today we married. Guess it worked out.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Aw, Laura, that's the sweetest story!

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Laura, that is the lovliest story. Made me smile. Happy Anniversary!

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Happy Anniversary, Laura and Brendon!!!

GC, congratulations to you and your GF!!!

The more dates you have to celebrate each year the better.
Absolutely. We celebrate two, and we're neither married nor engaged.

Cindy, good for you for getting the plowing done cheaply. TCG shovelled twice last night. Once when he got home, but the snow was coming down faster than he could shovel it, and then again before bed.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

Congratulations, Gloomcookie and GF!

Go ahead and send it to me too, Nora. I'm checking in and out, and I might have time.

Aww, Laura, that's so yayful!

I was up v. late last night--drove to Baltimore for a drag show (their venue is closing down, and I"m friends with lots of them, so it was mandatory, evne though it was sleeting like crazy). Luckily, by the time I was driving home, the roads were just fine.

I'm trying to decide, since I *just* got up, what I should do with my day.

But yesterday, I got my CueCat in the mail, so I might ahve to go dorky and do my library today...
