Jimmy Olsen jokes're pretty much gonna be lost on you, huh?

Spike's Bitches 35: We Got a History

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Our wings are not tired.

Hee.

I looked at the 10016 zip code weather map after I checked out my home zip of 33444. Yikes! Ice Pellets - 100% chance. We have a wild and crazy thunderstorm above us that I am hoping makes its way to water my lawn.

All of the waiting has resulted in most of my colleagues getting excited (after the initial grief) about their next jobs because the market is hot and recruiters are breathing down our necks.

Heh. Yeah, we get recruiter calls all the time. And I"m also at a small (though not especially startup) biotch. But we all really LIKE our coworkers and our jobs and don't want to have to find a new one that we might not like. So we're hanging in...and hoping that at least if we get laid off, we might get some severance? I'm a CRA, so it's hard to find a job that has a nice balance of travel (which I enjoy) and being in-house (because travelling 80-100% sucks ass).

And I take it that Borderline Personality Disorder has nothing to do with Madonna?

Hah!

I would be more jealous of Teppy if I hadn't found the amazing frozen custard store in Virginia. This weekend the flavor is Mint Chocolate Chip...

Cute Toto!

TCG can get home any time now so that I can stop worrying.

OMG, my poor friend...she lives in Toronto. She's dating someone in Baltimore, and planning to surprise him by flying in tonight for this show they're doing (which is the last one, becuase hte venue is closing). But she has to fly out tomorrow morning at like, 9AM, becuase all the other flights were sold out all weekend.

But she's (a) stuck at the border because there's a big long delay, and (b) the last flight from BUF-BWI just got diverted....to NASHVILLE. And the flight that was supposed to leave at 3:30pm still hasn't left. Um.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Sorry about the cancellation, Cash. I hope you have a good weekend at home and your trip, when it comes, is FANTASTIC.

TCG--get your butt home pronto.

I just walked all the way around the block! Longest walk since my surgery. Go me!

Dang, Cash. I hope you still get to take your vacation at some point!

Robin, go you! Did they tell you to stay off skates for six weeks? Everything seems to be six weeks after any kind of womanly surgery.

He's home now, but he left an hour earlier and didn't get home any earlier than usual.
