See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

I love not only the retcon, but that the whole Immortal thing in all its spectacular lameness is pinned on Andrew.

To understand what happened at the diner, we shall use Mr. Papaya! This is upsetting because he's the friendliest of fruits.

I wonder when Joss came up with that idea for the retcon, because it's terribly, terribly funny, and it makes a certain degree of sense. I wonder where Buffy's really based out of?

I cannot agree with the "making sense" part, unless we're supposed to think that Andrew would then deliberately send Angel and Spike to the club the fake-Buffy was at, even though they are presumably the only other people in the country who know the real one.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Well, sending them there does help cement the cover.

Meh. Only because they didn't get a good look, which seems like quite a gamble. Or is a thing where Andrew now has access to Mission Impossible disguises?

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I should point out that Buffy has access to anything that Willow can do when planning out long-term strategies. I'd assume flawless shapechanging or illusion spells are within her repertoire for a decoy. Angel and (possibly) Spike might be ableto see through such with time to note behavioral discrepancies, but if the imposter was coached to avoid them/refuse to engage in conversation...

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

Excellent point, Matt. I cannot wait for these to come out.

I agree with Matt. It's going to be a well done job, or little point doing it.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

I'd assumed bots.

Thrive to spite them

I thought it was that too.
