I did think this bit from that Popmatters piece was goofy:
Like a lot of Gaiman fans, I was outraged that DC would try to milk even more money out of Neil’s precious creations
Oh, please. Because I'm sure no Gaiman fan buys the reissues and spin-offs and statues and posters and action figures and stuffed animals and whatever else. I'm not thrilled that there's such a market for all that crap, but it's not DC I blame for that.
Yeah, that was a little wanky. I skimmed the first few paragraphs about how the author had to get over himself to read something that wasn't Pure Gaiman (TM), even though it was endorsed by Neil, which is why I started reading it. (Well, that and Fay thrusting it into my hands.) But it reminded me of why I liked the series so much, and I'm going to go back and re-read all of them. When I get things sorted out a little more.
You will have to pry my Death stuffed toy out of my cold dead hands. Not to mention Morpheus, Daniel and Goldie.
And I so want Delirium.
I didn't buy any of the stuffed toys (tho' I kinda regret it now). However, I do have the
Where's Neil When You Need Him
tribute CD that Dancing Ferret released this summer.

Awwwww. That's the cutest thing EVAR!
teppy! I'm glad your dad is okay. How are you?
Thanks! I'm tired -- I haven't slept soundly since I got home from Vermont. But I'm good. Have a cool new tattoo, which eventually I'll have a picture of (digital camera refuses to work; used old 35 mm film camera; have to actually get the film *developed* before I'll have a picture of the tat).
What's wrong? It won't turn on, or is related to the cracked screen? (I just got a new one to replace the one that got stolen. But no one can replace the pictures of you and me! :(
