Having as of late found myself channel scanning for Keanu as The Buddha, I feel I should be more scared than I am.
Perhaps it's the rosy glow of getting off work, or the that I'm faint from hunger, but the thought's just making me giggle.

Betsy, I could sure tell you what I meant to mean, but what I ended up meaning? Up for grabs.
I think I did too much work today. Must cut back on that.
Damn with faint praise ... two negatives ... okay I'm good -- he didn't actually say anything NICE about Keanu, did he?
I think he said Keanu is such a considerate actor, that he deliberately sucks at every role so the other actors can shine.
Just dropping by to let everyone know that the last regular Buffy comic arc kicks off with today's issue #60, the beginning of the four-part "Stake to the Heart" that deals with Joyce and Hank's divorce. Also, there is no input at all from Scott Lobdell, as Fabian Nicieza handles this solo.
I just wanted to add that I picked up Buffy #60 today, and it quite liked it. There are some continuity problems with Angel thanks to Scott Lobdell and the Las Vegas trip (shudder), but I think this measures up pretty well. It actually gives the reader something to think about other than "god, how awful can this get?"
Good to hear Jeff. I am picking it up after work today.
I just downloaded and watched Batman: Dead End. And it was....uh...really really cool.
I am going home now, but just wanted to see if anyone else had seen it, so in the morning I could read someone say something better than "cool" and then wrod whatever they said.
Oh - I guess it would help if I explained. It's a 7-minute short done recently by well - somebody cool - and it's a very non-Hollywood, no-plastic-suit-with-nipples version of Batman and it fucking rocked.
I think the person who I got it from got if off a filesharing network or I'd give a link.
I just searched on Kazaa for "Batman dead end" and found it. It's downloading as I write this!

Is that the one that crosses over with Predator ? I was expecting it to close on some kind of revelation or punchline, but it didn't even manage a cliffhanger. I was impressed that they did it in live action, though. At first I thought it was a vid.
it didn't even manage a cliffhanger
That would be because there was no plot. Frankly, I thought it looked like a very impressive and shiny audition reel, and not like anything I'd call a film at all -- it read to me like "see what I can do with lighting and effects!"
Pretty as hell, and not something I could do even if I had the budget, but it utterly failed to hold my interest. And I'm an absolute screaming batman freak....
