Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

I have to admit, it sounds too much like missing-scene fic that I may have once thought of writing to grab me. Although Spike, Dru, and Ed Wood with no Dracula would amuse me to no end.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

It could be fun, even if I feel no huge (or even small) need for anything new and Spike-related.

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

Has anyone read PAD's Spike one-shot that came out this summer? It sold out at my local shop and wasn't interested enough to try and track it down. I'm just curious how that one turned out. Might be an indicator of what to expect from the new series.

Art Crawl!!!

It just seems funny that there is an article about Infinite Crisis in the NYT.

"I think people feel it's dark because it's so compelling," Mr. DiDio said. "They don't know how our heroes are going to get out of the danger."

Mr. Rucka agreed: "When they're saying 'it's too dark,' they're saying, 'I'm scared.' "

Condescending, much?

Sigh.

I think they may be missing the point of the complaints. I haven't seen anyone say that things are too dark because they're seriously afraid for the characters. I have seen a fair amount of bitching about dark for dark's sake.

Really, I see more "it's too dark -- this is getting effing boring already" complaints than "it's too dark -- hold me, I'm scared".

It's like the mission statement is, "None. None more dark."

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

Interview with Dan Didio about Infinite Crisis: [link]

NOTE: contains a thumbnail of the cover of #2 (Power Girl on a blue background), which is *not* the real cover for #2 -- clicking on that thumbnail (Power Girl) opens the *real* cover, which is SPOILERY AS FUCK.
