Must. Control. Fist. Of. Death.
Todd McFarlane is currently leading Strangers in Paradise writer Terry Moore by 59.9% to 40% in the competition for best writer.
That's because SiP is a GIRL comic.
The only writing of McFarlane's that I'm interested in reading is his signature on the notice of bankruptcy that one of his companies turned in recently.
Going through the list, I pity poor Lea Hernandez, who may be a very good writer but was pitted against Alan Moore. Most extreme voting differential I saw in the whole thing—she was swallowed more completely than crumbs that fall in his prehensile beard.
From my personal perspective, I'm miffed that they pitted Grant Morrison against Gail Simone. How's a girl supposed to choose???
(I chose Gail, because I figured she needed the votes.)
I wasn't familiar with Terry Moore, but I voted anyway just to vote against McFarland.
Oh, you know it'll come down to Alan Moore vs Frank Miller. I only wish Brian K Vaughn was in another bracket so he could make it to the final 4.
Because I personally believe thatMoore and Miller have really dropped off their quality of late, while everything that BKV writes now is on my hold list, and I always look forward to them.
Bendis, Ellis, Gaiman, and Morrison all have firm shots.
Was Miller even winning his round? IIRC, he was doing worse than I expected.
Hm, I've just assumed that Gaiman would take the whole thing. Particularly when, at some point in the next month, someone posts a link on a Gaiman fansite.
