Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Superhero-team-book as Attention Deficit Disorder Anime by Warren Ellis. I'm only familiar with Monica Rambeau and Boom Boom.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

So, if someone had just downloaded a torrent-thingie of Victorian-esqe manga, what sort of program would they need on their Mac to open the file so they could look at the pretty pretty art? As a purely hypothetical question, you understand ...

Hypothetically, Comical or a similar Mac picture archive viewer. This one: [link] looks neat, but I haven't tried it.

Yep. A friend of mine thinks I'd like it bunches.

Which reminds me: I'm actually looking for manga recs. I'm probably going to pick up Bizenghast, but I'd like to take a look at other things with a similar style. (You know, spoooooky happenings, vampires, fairy tales, and girls in pretty dresses that make them look like Victorian dolls.) Anyone have any suggestions?

You're so totally no longer allowed to stage an intervention for me when and if I start reading it. Just so as you know.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

Jilli, check out "Angel Sanctuary." Not so much on the vampires, but some great fashion and a bunny that you might find a wee bit familiar.

For sheer gorgeous artwork (incl. some great dresses), check out "Clover," esp. volume three.

I thought that was a given. Like I'm capable of staging an intervention for *anyone* about genre stuff ...

Thanks for the suggestions, Anne! I'll go search them out.

Perez cover, uncoloured, for Infinite Crisis.

Jim Lee cover.

I know which cover I'll be getting... hmm. Wonder if I should specify Perez ahead of time.

3/5s of the way through my Spider-Woman collection now. Trying to decide if I prefer Leialoha or Infantino's work for the art. For writing, Mark Gruenwald is so heads and shoulders above the other writers on the title (Wolfman before and Michael Fleisher after) that I'm overwhelmed with the Tragic Loss Sorrows.

Also, there are WAY too many OJ Simpson shoe ads within the pages. Oddly, none of them are Bruno Maglis.
