Where'd they get CAT scan from?... I mean, did they test it on cats? Or does the machine sort of look like a cat?

"Don't think of yourself as an organic pain collector racing towards oblivion." Dogbert to Dilbert

I got that cover, too, then got all confused because Angel implied that Cordy is dead, and it occurred to me that I have no idea when the current storyline is set. If he's dating Nina, then is it before or after the end of S5? And if it's after, why are all those dead people on the cover?

I think at the back of issue #1, where they had the IDW output for that month, there was a description of this series as taking place after Season 5 (which the mention of Nina and dating tends to indicate) and they describe the series on the IDW website as post-series.

The generation that could change the world is still looking for its car keys.

Over on the BKV board, we're fantasy casting for Y: The Last Man. Everyone is suggesting Topher Grace, and, OK, but I'd pick, um, not-Jason-Lee. You know, from Van Wilder.

Sandra Oh for Dr Mann
Gina Torres for 355.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

You mean Ryan Reynolds? Hmm. I like him, but I'm not sure I see him as Yorick. Maybe. Topher Grace, huh?

Sandra Oh for Dr Mann
Gina Torres for 355.

Those two, on the other hand, are fucking awesome.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I see Yorick as Mark-Paul Gosselaar.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Josh Jackson.

Ever fired your gun in the air and yelled, 'Aaaaaaah?'

I went to get the Serenity comic today but it was sold out. I'm equal parts happy, because people seem interested in it, and disappointed that I don't have it.

Eisner awards - No Joss. It's an honor just to be nominated, right?

I look more rad than Lutheranism

Tonight's JLU is disturbing. I like it.

I can't help digging Luthor. And Amanda Waller is a badass.
