Dick's a hero in his own right, but is still very much in Bruce's shadow. Also, though he did have his proving-himself-thing in Prodigal while pinch hitting, Dick? Still not Batman.
Plei is me. The thing is, the reader knows they're never going to kill Bruce Wayne. Ever. So, while Nightwing may be a hero in his own right, he'll never be Batman for real. Barry dying and Wally taking on the mantle was pretty damn unique.
The writer of Y is an obvious Bowie freak, that always helps.
I'm posting this in here so I don't interrupt the fun and games in the movie thread.
The person who wrote the script for
Ice Princess
is working on one for Zatanna.
Oh, that sounds bad. Did we learn nothing from Teen Witch?!?
Hey, PMM -- Spiderwoman's in New Avengers, huh? You reading?
Hey, PMM -- Spiderwoman's in New Avengers, huh? You reading?
Yep. It's on my pull.
(Which I probably won't get to pick up until the weekend at this rate.)
Here's a different preview of Countdown to Infinite Crisis -- it's 10 different pages from the ones linked upthread.
I'm not even familiar with some of these characters, and yet it's clear to me that
Blue Beetle/Booster Gold = OTP.
I mean, it only took one page to make that clear to me.
I managed to thoroughly, THOROUGHLY spoil myself for Countdown to Infinite Crisis. Because I couldn't. not. click.
It sounds like it's really well done, despite the exceedingly silly title.
Steph: yes,
OTP of long standing.
You should read the latest issue of Justice League Classified for Sue's threat to them alone, Steph.
Spoiled for Countdown to we've run out of names, and while I'm intrigued and suspect I'll enjoy it a lot, I can now totally see why Keith Giffen quit DC.
