The Crisis du jour? Where I am *convinced* (along with half of fandom) that Jason Todd is coming back?
Well, if that happens, that happens in the next few issues of one particular title. What I'm thinking of is the 'verse wide plan.

I think "Jason Todd is coming back" is pretty small potatoes when it comes to the events planned in the DC universe this year. Not only do you have the "Crisis" du jour (titled Countdown and spinning off 4 separate mini-series), you also have Grant Morrison's Seven Soldiers mega-series, and the All Star Batman and All Star Superman series this year. All this is in addition to the normal title line-up. Marvel is doing something similar with House of M, so it looks like the big event strategy is the main order of the day for the Big Two.
Anything coming out today? Is the new Astounishing this week?
Astounishing is not today.
On my list is Outsiders and Nightwing, and I'm probably going to grab Green Arrow if they have it.
so it looks like the big event strategy is the main order of the day for the Big Two.
But that's nothing new--it has been for the past near twenty years. Ever since "Crisis on Infinite Earths."
Except that in the mid-90's, overreliance on the Big Event came and bit them in the ass.
I'll probably be picking up:
Action #824
Batman: Legends of the Dark Knight #188
Batman: The Man Who Laughs
Gotham Central #28
Green Arrow #47
Nightwing #103
Outsiders #20
Ultimate X-Men #56
And possibly some Supreme Power back issues because Holli is an evil pimp.
I have to get Manhunter back issues because SA is an evil pimp. Unless it's going to come out in TPB soon. Then I can wait. But I have to remember to add it to my pull list.
Hot off the heels of We3, Grant Morrison has his final 3-issue Vertigo mini launch today - Vimanarama.
I'll also be picking up JLA #111, JSA #70, Ultimates v. 2 #3, and Captain America #3 in addition to shrift's list.
Okay, the Ultimate Universe is totally gay.
Nightwing #103 wasn't the simple pleasure I found #102, but interesting enough, with a cameo laugh or two. Ultimates #2 -- my reaction to it is in a Schroedingery place -- assuming that wasn't Bruce on the phone -- whoa. If it was, half a whoa. Outsiders was ... okay. Ultimate X-Men got a couple laughs, but I'm not feeling the Ultimate Longshot love. Nice to see there seems to be a nice and hearty Ultimate Phoenix Force, though. That was the most interesting part.
