Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Damn, I should have skimmed in the store -- I didn't see an answer to how Wonder Woman is getting around during her blindness. Flying with a cane? How's the bullet deflecting going?

I look more rad than Lutheranism

So, wait. Wonder Woman is going to be blind, like, FOREVER? Weird.

Remember, remember/the fifth of November/the Gunpowder Treason and Plot/I see no reason/Why Gunpowder Treason/Should ever be forgot.

Steph, well no. Just probably until the NEXT MAJOR EVENT in the DC universe.

Or until the title changes writers. Many writers ignore what previous writers did...

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

You'd think Prometheus could lend a hand, what with the perpetually regenerating liver and all.

Hmmm. Exactly how did Diana stop being a goddess, anyway?

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Batgirl kicked all kinds of ass this week.

Batman was fun, though if they're going where I think they're going, I suspect exploding heads in our future.

Nightwing Year One: to answer P-C's question DEADMAN!!! SQUEE!!!! DEADMAN!!!!!!!!!!!!

And to ask one of my own: in the current continuity timeline, would Boston Brand (Deadman) have been alive at this point, or is he already dead?

PC, why do you think the cave at the end of Batgirl is reset-like? Doesn't every superhero need a lair? It's like a graduation present.

Just finished the Nightwing -- that was kinda cool. Certainly better than the one before.

Y Last Man was good, but way too quick.

New X-Men was nice and consistent.

X-23. I pegged why I was liking it -- she's very Batgirl, but now I know why I don't love it, because she's Batgirl cum bad girl. That's not what I'm looking for. I'll keep reading, though.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

ita, it's not really that I think of it as a reset, but it feels too easy. Like, shazam! Here's a lair so we can start Batgirl off. I know she needs it, and it's way cool, and I can't wait to see what happens now.

But Plei, I have no idea who that is, is the thing. Need history!

Just finished the Nightwing -- that was kinda cool. Certainly better than the one before.

Yeah, that was my thought too.

P-C, I can have a better answer when I know the answer to my queestion, because while I know who the character is, I don't know if the character is that character right now.

Art Crawl!!!

Batgirl was so much fun!!! I loved it. Although, giving her such permanent digs in Bludhaven makes me wonder where Nightwing is going, you know?

Also, in Batman I loved the story but hated the art. Did you notice how on the lower righthand of page 3, Nightwing has all receding gums so it looks like he has reverse fangs? What is up with that? And then later on, in a typography problem: they're chasing Red Hood and they talk about a rope that is "taught" rather than "taut".

Another thing -- why is it that all the DC books (at least the ones that I get) now have that page with the news about what's coming up, what else is out the same week and the promo for the next issue on the page before the actual end of the story, rather than across from the back cover? I don't like it.

Robin was all out of whack. I thought that the story and the art really didn't mesh. Plus, the Robin was all over the place and really -- must Bruce Wayne attempt to adopt all teenaged orphen boys? Plus, there is the whole mysterious long-lost Uncle Ed. . . do you guys think he's going to turn out to be evil?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I admit, I was being kinda cursory in my Nightwing consumption -- I was going to finish year one, and then maybe not pick it up anymore. But I liked this week's issue, and what you said, sumi, make me think ... maybe I'll keep going.

But I'll evaluate in 2 months/4 issues.

I agree about Robin, needless to say. Will there be a point at which people get really suspicious of Wayne and his wards? Have the ever done a storyline about that, maybe one where Bruce has to defend himself against charges of inappropriate behaviour?
