Dawn: I thought you were adequate. Giles: And the accolades keep pouring in. I'd best take my leave before my head swells any larger. Good night.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

IDW, victor.

To understand what happened at the diner, we shall use Mr. Papaya! This is upsetting because he's the friendliest of fruits.

Ah. Thanks!

Art Crawl!!!

Shoot! I knew it began with an "I". . . Image or Icon were all I could think of.

Sometimes I realize there are more comic book companies than I think there are.

S to the A -- using they/them pronouns!

I got comics today. Angeltown #3, Manhunter #6, Life in Wartime #7 (I think), the new Warren Ellis (oceanic? or something. The counter guy reccomeded it) and Kabuki #2, which I'd been told was extremely difficult to get. I did a little dance when I saw it in my pull. Did it come out in a second printing?

I only have one thing left to get before I leave, which is Legion on Thursday. Then I close out my pull (sniff) and head on home.

I haven't been paying much attention to Wonder Woman, so I'm whitefonting this question because I don't even have any idea of the timeline or even the comics in which it is shown -- why are her eyes bound?

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

ita, I haven't been reading it either, but I gather there was some fight with Medusa that left her blind.

Blind, blind? As in actually has difficulty getting around? Or is there some sort of (potentially mystical) compensation going on?

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

ita - her sight was taken from her by the Gods. It was necessary for her to defeat Medusa. But it can't be repaired by the all-healing purple ray of the Amazons.

"Don't think of yourself as an organic pain collector racing towards oblivion." Dogbert to Dilbert

ita - it's supposed to carryover in all of Wonder Woman's appearances in other titles (until her sight is restored, whenever they get around to it). However, the blindness is supposed to last for a while, and will be played out as "permanent" in the title.

Highlights from this week's pull list - we get a Grant Morrison double shot with the conclusion of both We3 and his arc on JLA: Classified
Planetary #22
Legion of Superheroes #2 (I've never followed the Legion before, baecause of the daunting task of sorting out continuiy, so the re-launch has been a godsend, and I was a big fan of Waid and Kitson's Empire)
Sleeper #8
Nightwing #102
Batgirl #60 (I'm thinking Gabrych might be at the top of the Bat-writer list at this time)
Batman #636
Flash #218

Robin is still on my pick-up list, so I will report back on the issues since so many have given up the title because of Willingham.
