Trying to say what I meant more concisely: I don't think Flycatcher is completely in control of his own behavior. I think there's certain imperatives involved. For instance, it's not just that he WANTS to go back to the Homelands, he HAS to. But he probably also has to obey the law, so as long as he was tied up in "paying off" his community service, he could stay.

They certainly made it sound like Flycatcher couldn't stay around unless they forced him to, but would be happy staying around. I agree with Victor on the compulsion tip.
It's not like he seemed terribly unhappy in Fabletown. I sincerely doubt that anyone could have stopped him if he REALLY wanted to leave. He could have just walked away, like Blue and Jack.
The Batgirl crossover w/Robin, you mean? 2 titles of Batgirl and 2 of Robin?
Yes, that. thank you. I love McSweeney's. What's Flycatcher?
Flycatcher is a Fables character.
I just saw that Catwoman was named Outstanding Comic Book...by the GLAAD Media Awards. I don't understand. Is Ed Brubaker gay? Is Catwoman gay? I presume there has to be some sort of gay/lesbian connection for it to win. Does subtext count or something?
Holly is gay.
Who's Holly? Is she one of her roommates?
No! That's why I asked, fool. I was just curious. That's cool, though, that a mainstream comic would win something like that.
