an overblown libretto and a sumptuous score/ could never contain the contradictions I adore

Wow. That's... huh. Man, I really liked the idea of The Pulse, but if it's gonna be all soap opera and shit blowing up I won't be happy.

To understand what happened at the diner, we shall use Mr. Papaya! This is upsetting because he's the friendliest of fruits.

Speaking of the Alpha Flight folks, whatever happened to Elizabeth Twoyoungmen?

Evidently she and a lot of the other Alpha Flighters are still active and at large.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

I don't think it's very soap opera, and as far as shit blowing up, I think it's just a result of the Secret War tie-in. That Bendis. It's probably better than I made it sound.

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

Who's the chick with the piercings?

Dazzler.

Oh riiiight.

Yeah, she's nothing like how I've seen her portrayed before.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

she's nothing like how I've seen her portrayed before.

Well, she's just an Avril Lavigne type -- which is to say, a pop darling of this period.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Should I wait to start Fugitive until I have the third volume? Are the volumes divided well?

I didn't. They do divide up fairly well, IIRC, and I was budgeting at the time.

Art Crawl!!!

Did anyone else think that Lori saying "Shiny" in BoP was a tribute to Firefly ?

Or am I being really really nutsy?

Art Crawl!!!

P-C -- I haven't waited either. I mean I have Bruce Wayne: Murderer and Fugitive 1 & 2 and still need Fugitive 3.

So, "Broken Bat" isn't worth it? Maybe I'll read that at the store.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

I read Knightfall 1-3 from the library -- 3 in particular sucked ass, though I thought 1 and 2 were decent. But I wouldn't buy them.
