Well, I've definitely presumed it's
been an airborne contagion...but you know, is it not harmful to those with two X chromosomes, or is it only harmful to those with a Y chromosome? Any Klinefelter's people
alive?
As for the
immunity, I checked the panels to make sure, and Yorick starts getting sick the instant he takes his mask off, which pretty much confirms the airborne contagion theory. Now, I've missed a few back issues, but I don't know how the male astronauts who landed fared, and I do remember a male baby being born a few issues back. You'd think the baby would have died as soon as it left the womb. And it's possible it did, a second after "It's a boy!" was announced. Vaughn's got some wiggle room. I'm not sure what the ring's been doing, then, since it also protected the
monkey.
It could be magic, which wouldn't surprise me too much considering they're on the run from relic hunters. It felt like something supernatural or magic was going to come into play eventually.
What I loved was how it went down:
Yorick's first fleeting thought when all the men died was that the ring had protected him. It was a great callback, and so amazingly done in a way that lets the situation dawn on the reader.
A chilling scene.
P-C -- There are two different stories in
Detective Comics.
The main story is the
War Games
installment and the secondary story is the Riddler/Ivy story.
One of the things about the TT/Legion special that makes me happy is that after reading it, I feel no inclination to start reading Legion regularly. What a relief.
the secondary story is the Riddler/Ivy story.
Okay, yeah, I saw that. I don't read it.
Sumi, Poison Ivy's real name is Pamela Isley.
What I want to know about TT/Legion is Did the Legion's timeline get erased? Is the new Legion's future an alternate future? And if it's the real future, do Bart's mom and cousin still exist? Alterante futures make my head hurt.
Victor, it sure looks that way. It's getting pretty tiresome. It looks like they want to go the
serious teen angst route.
The only good thing I see so far is that
Sun Boy seems to exist in this reality.
The Titans/Legion book is a mess. It's sort of like one of the old DC/Marvel crossovers. The Titans,
except for Bart, are completely out of place, and it doesn't really fit recent Legion canon, either. At least they got the correct spelling for M'onel's name this issue.
I was completely confused by
the last pages in Teen Titans, when there was a future city and stuff about genes. Well, more confused than I was for the rest of the issue.
I also picked up the current issue of WW, after I missed it last week. I have to go back and read the previous issue because I kind of missed some things, but WW kicked ass and there was a joke about Everybody Loves Raymond that amused me.

I think when
the Titans came from the 31st century back to the 21st century, they didn't go far enough, and they "landed" in, roughly, the year 2014.
If I read it right.

Those pages are
the Legion reboot. The kid who got slapped by his dad looks to be Lyle Norg, aka Invisible Kid. When he jumps, he puts on a Legion flight ring and flies off with the rest of the new AU version of the Legion. Meanwhile, as Teppy said, the Titans seem to have wound up in 2014.
Oh, oops. I was reading askye's post as if she meant the
last pages of where the Teen Titans-specific story ends,
which is NOT the
end of the issue -- the last pages are,
like DX said,
Legion-related
stuff.
