Angel: Connor, this is Spike and Illyria. Guys, this is Connor. Connor: Hi. umm...I like your outfit. Illyria: Your body warms. This one is lusting after me. Connor: Oh...no, I--I--it's just that it's the outfit. I guess I've had a thing for older women. Angel: They were supposed to fix that.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

TCJ message board is not a very nice place.

Apparently, many underground cartoonists aren't particularly mature or professional. Who'd have thought?

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Well, Kim and Gary aren't very nice guys either. That probably helps set the tone.

I was kind of surprised how many of them came from broken homes and had massive issues with their absent dads. But yeah, it's a business that attracts a lot of dysfunctional, not-very-socialized people.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I'm just glad when I hear about the odd bit of nice behavior from comics professionals, like the first time George Perez and Phil Jiminez met.

Did they make sweet love?

Jack Kirby was famous for being incredibly accessible to both fans and upcoming artists. Just an astoundingly generous man.

Art Crawl!!!

IC#4 gets mentioned in the New York Times . . . and why didn't I realize that Brad Meltzer of IC was the same guy who is involved with Jack and Bobby?

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

Art was very weird. Jean's looked like a million different things, but I had to just assume that was her.

Same here. In one shot she looked like Kitty from AXM. I was extremely confused, since UXM Kitty looks very much like the young teenager she's supposed to be.

True, plus the freckles are killing me. Did anyone else think her kiss with Bobby was just adorable? I'm starting to get old enough these days that I just think that sort of thng is head-patting cute. Which is better than the alternative, all things considered.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

UXM Kitty looks very much like the young teenager she's supposed to be.

This makes me giggle. Poor Kitty, trapped in eternal teenagerhood. Oh, she thought she was free and clear, but Pete Wisdom who?

We do not look at Pete Wisdom. We do not talk about Pete Wisdom. We pretend he is not there.
