Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Matt, BWAHH!

Hec, torch-song-singing Batman actually kind of broke my brain. In a "this is very, very wrong" way. Although now that I think about it, I'll bet there's an Elseworld out there where Bruce Wayne sings torch songs in clubs while fighting crime.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Ethan let me read the first Y: The Last Man trade, and now I'm hooked.

Bastard.

But he also let me take his No Man's Land, so I'll finally get to read it now!

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

But Shrift, Wronger Than A Wrong Thing is no impediment to your writing. Dude, you wrote Harvey mpreg. I like to think of you and Ple having a very special, very perverse muse who visits you during your crankier hours, and sends you off into wicked fits of laughter.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Not only during the crankier hours.

I like to save Wronger Than A Wrong Thing for special occasions, and by special occasions, I mean truly unfortunate double-dog dares and the torture of others.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

We caught the torch-song Batman ep of JLU last night. It made Pete make That Face and mutter disbelivingly. I just giggled a lot. Mind you, I don't think it was a particularly good story idea, and even lines such as "I'm a rich boy with issues. Lots of issues" couldn't save it.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

I just saw it. I'm gonna go over and sit with Pete.

Thrive to spite them

This episode is the only JLU episode I've seen. I didn't see all of it, I just started when Zantana and Bats were at the shop buying whatever and Bats was tying up the pig. At that point I had no idea it was WW so I thought that the pig was going to be sacrificed. The whole episode was kind of bizarre. I liked Piggy!Woman though. The "that'll do pig" made me laugh in a kind of shocked "I can't believe they did that!" kind of way.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I enjoyed last Saturday's JLU. When this season started I thought it would be a sort of new superhero smorgasboard, and I worried that they wouldn't concentrate on the previous group of characters anymore. Since I'm pretty much in it for the Flash and Bats, I'm glad to be somewhat wrong. I mean we aren't getting enough of the Flash and Hawkgirl is gone like a gone thing, but the whole old school JL character(s) working with one or two new superheros episodes thing is working for me.
