Tim
knew that Spoiler was Stephanie, but he got upset at Batman for deciding to tell Stephanie he was Tim Drake; he thought it should be his decision to make.
BoP: Paraplegics can't sit up like that. Also,
trying to figure out how the timeline intersects with the other Bat titles makes my head hurt -- I think BoP must be happening after the others, not before or simultaneously with.
I loved
Dinah's riff on Superman. "He's Superman. I blush when I have prurient *thoughts* around him. Which is often."
Shrift, Ultimate Spidey is Teh Shit. Particularly the last 4 issues.
The 12-Cent Adventure was expositionalicious
It was, but I thought it was done more or less in a non-anvillicious way. Except for all the
attention paid to Jason Todd. For someone who's been long dead, he got a lot of ink.
I just picked up Astounishing today, and I'm really liking this whole run so far (and this is the first X title I've ever read, though I don't knowif that's good, bad, or neutral).
Apparently,
Dinah reads the same fic I do....
It was, but I thought it was done more or less in a non-anvillicious way.
Oh, definitely. It was a very organic thought process. Slick work, Grayson. And as far as
Jason, from what I could tell from flipping through recent Bats issues, he's been getting a lot of ink, so there could be something relevant happening during "War Games."
The Timing thing -- I think that where BoP is RIGHT NOW is after where we are in War Games.
Because (spoilery for BoP and DC): Babs calls Dick in DC and he and Tarantula are still on the road -- but this is obviously NOT the call that he got in the last issue of NW -- is it? Perhaps the call he got in the last Nightwing was the one telling him what happened to Bab? Because he is (apparently) in Gotham when BoP opens having filled the hospital room with flowers, but having been chased out of the room by Dinah because his antsiness was driving her nuts.
Hey, wait, sumi,
what happened to Babs? She seemed fine in the issues I read today.
Are you reading BoP? It's something that happened in the last issue.
Some sort of bizarre attack on her mind through her computer. Did you see the cool holographic map of Gotham that she made around Bats in DC? I wonder if her ability to do that isn't related to side effects relating to the attack.
Are you reading BoP?
Nope. But yeah, that was a
cool map. I was reading quickly, so I didn't stop to think about where it came from.
Actually, sumi,
Alfred reaches Dick in AC, and it's a call from Bruce that brings him home to Gotham.
And, yes, I agree
that BoP must be happening after where we are in War Games, which is why I said as much. But I think it's got to be reasonably soon after, which makes Nightwing coming by a little weird.
It also, by the way, means
that the holographic map in DC cannot be related to what happened to Babs in BoP, if they are being at all careful on the timeline.
Frankly, we've seen far less probable tech at the Watchtower before, so
I think it's probably just a case of "artist tired of drawing computer screen"-itis.
