Lorne: Back in Pylea they used to call me "sweet potato." Connor: Really. Lorne: Yeah, well, the exact translation was "fragrant tuber" but…

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Was he a sarcastic, authority-hating hound dog?

Ever so slightly.

How does George Eads's voice sound like it has a crewcut? I was impressed.

My issues with the ep -- why send Captain Atom in to stick in the carbon rods? Even if the REALLY OBVIOUS IDEA of shooting them in (and I'm going to ignore all the physics, including nuclear here) doesn't occur to anyone, Supergirl had been even closer to it than he had, and suffered no apparent harm. And she doesn't have that pesky absorption problem.

Also? Call for help. Isn't that like, the point of Unlimited? Why wait?

move out and draw fire

Were Nick Fury and S.H.I.E.L.D in other of the X-Men books? For some reason I thought Fury had his own continuity, and appearing in an X-title would be a crossover.

They pop up all over the place. They're like a superhero CIA. FBI. Whatever.

To understand what happened at the diner, we shall use Mr. Papaya! This is upsetting because he's the friendliest of fruits.

Like ita said, S.H.I.E.L.D. is all over the place in the Marvel Universe. Kitty Pryde even worked for them once.

Which is why, when watching Spider-Man 2, I got my Geek Ire on in a big way, because, damn it, S.H.I.E.L.D. could have popped in to help!

(Of course, that would diminish the movie, but since I'm thinking of them as though they're real, I just want Spidey to get the help he needs....)

Art Crawl!!!

Who did the voice for Green Arrow?

I liked the bit at the end with the Bats-Green Arrow interaction and then seeing Black Canary.

You mean the bit with Bats *waiting* for GA to come out of the shower wearing only a towel? ::snerk::

Also, WTF is up with Green Lantern's facial hair? I know he's bereft b/c Hawkgirl left, but -- dude. Not a good look for you.

aka "The artist formerly known as Corwood Industries."

I heard online that the Justice League Unlimited episode for next week is an adaptation of Alan Moore's "For The Man Who Has Everything."

I don't know -- I kind of liked GL's facial hair. (And he shave his head too, right?)

Or am I mis-remembering?
