I caught her on a park bench, making out with a *chaos* demon! Have you ever seen a chaos demon? They're all slime and antlers.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

I'm really feeling rewarded for my obsessive plunge into Flash and Green Lantern this spring, because it's really making me bounce with brain glee that Kyle and Wally would be the ones to underscore just how screwed up this sitch is. I mean, both Wally and Kyle have had similar things happen (Kyle's I almost have to see as two-pronged, because you've got Alex's death, which happened because Kyle was GL, but you've also got Terry's near-fatal beating, which had nothing to do with Kyle, but which Kyle still felt guilty about because he wasn't there when Terry needed him, having just willingly given up Godlike Powers on the advice of many, and this does tie in, but brain working too fast, so it might take me a few posts to explain why), Wally's already been called to the carpet for that Hal-based reality mindwipe, and Kyle got called on overuse of power when he was Ion, and the more I think about it, the happier and geekier I get.

Art Crawl!!!

I keep thinking that I should pick up the Green Lantern and Flash titles but I've got too much I'm already picking up.

NW - I totally agree that it was rushed. The end was very WTF? to me -- and the cover UGLEE. I didn't really look at it 'til I was done reading (for which I am grateful) since it is pretty much a giveaway, isn't it?

My unfamiliarity with JLA stuff leads me to not get as much out of IDC as I should be.

I've caught up on Robin and also read the most recent DC and I agree that we're looking at something very Jason Todd-like -- although, was the Joker specifically going after Jason? In the same manner that this Bug-Assassin Girl is? Or Szasz (sp?)? Also -- Darla=Bug-Assassin girl, right?

I also had continuity questions re: NW, Robin, Identity Crisis and also where the end of NW #95 fits in.

Re: end of NW #95 and time-frame

keeping in mind that these things aren't quite in sync, Batman's call is about what we haven't yet seen break loose in Gotham. It's not the start of War Games, but it's an indicator that the next issue of NW will be part of that arc.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Thanks, PMM. Way too many titles for me to keep my own track.

"Don't think of yourself as an organic pain collector racing towards oblivion." Dogbert to Dilbert

I noticed in the solicitations for this week, that Flash #212 is going to focus on the Mirror Master. Wasn't he on the satellite in Identity Crisis #2?

So, does Ultimate Reed Richards have sperm?

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

Jeff, it looked like him, alright.

While peeking around to see if there were annotations out yet for IC#2, I found this cool site, with annotation and bibliography links.

Almost forgot to mention. When I was picking up IC #2, I noticed the special edition of Mystery in Space on the rack. I was never an Adam Strange fan, but I flipped through it just to see what was going on, and Ralph and a very much alive Sue Dibny are featured characters. Didn't buy the book, but it just seemed odd.

To understand what happened at the diner, we shall use Mr. Papaya! This is upsetting because he's the friendliest of fruits.

Funny, I'd have taken you for an Adam Strange fan--what with your love of LofSH and the straightahead sci-finess of the character.

In any case, these DC Comics Presents special editions are basically tributes to the late Julie Schwartz and his contributions to the silver age, so they're basically out of continuity.

But it was nice to see Ralph and Sue out for one last waltz, wasn't it?
