Has anyone got the Batman: TAS DVDs yet?
I got home tonight to find 'em waiting for me. (WHEE!!!!) Haven't played with them yet.
Discussion of Buffy and Angel comics, books, and more. Please don't get into spoilery details in the first week of release.

I have them, and have watched a couple of eps. Not overloaded with special features, but the ones they have are good. S1 was not the best work they ever did, but it's nice to have.
amych!!!! What up with Nationals, woman?!? I need to know!
Neil Gaiman said in his blog that he and Dave McKean will be on a panel at ComicCon. FYI.
As Misha notes, Batman animated didn't hit its stride until it got going a bit. I just watched the late episode which was done partly in the style of Frank Miller's Dark Knight - whoa that was weird to see. But very cool. And it had a Carrie-like character too.
Ple got me interested so I perused the Outsiders at the comic store after we saw Spidey. Read issues 8-13 - really good stuff. Winick does such a good job on the relationship between Roy and Dick. Great dialogue and dynamic. Enjoyed all the new characters, particularly the gal who got her face burned off. That was freaky and disturbing. Then I came home and read Preacher - more freaky and disturbing.
Anyway, I was getting hooked on Outsiders.
See, it's not my fault, because I got hooked via Victor.
Who is also to blame for my new-found Plas love, damn him. Will be adding that to the box when I go in for my pulls.
I just read Batman: Nine Lives, and it's everything I'd heard it would be and possibly more. I love Lark's pencils anyhow, but his work's really, really well suited to the noir atmosphere they were going for. Lots of little comics references scattered throughout, a solid script...
Sigh. Love.
It was an adventure trying to track it down. Had to do some store hopping for it.

Finished 68th, spotted and actually said hello to your coach, bought new toys, came home and crashed hard... t /natter
Had some time to kill in Borders yesterday, and read Batgirl:Year One. I can see why you(the collective you) like it. Very interesting. (and now I know the context of Plei's tag.)
Finished 68th
Is that good or bad?
spotted and actually said hello to your coach,
Meep! My big, black, dreadlock-ed coach!
Is that good or bad?
Out of 85, it coulda been much, much better. Actually, if I'd won one more -- which would've put me at 61 -- I'd be fine with it. The last bout was very, very up and down, and I either hit really brilliant stuff or missed altogether. It takes some real work to whiff with a sabre, let me tell you...

Yes! And he seemed very cool. Actually, your whole club did -- they were one of the groups that really came out to support and cheer and generally help each other out.
