Can anybody help a lazy-ista? I've meant to read Fray from the beginning but never got around to getting a copy and now with the discussion of it in show threads I REALLY want to read the whole series. But I can't figure out where to get back issues. The Dark Horse site was no help at all.
I figured i'd wait until they were collected in book form but I don't think I'm that patient.
Any suggestions?
The two places I look online are Things From Another World or Mile High Comics. Unfortunately, Mile High is completely sold out (except for issue #6) and TFAW is missing issues #1-#3. If your comic store doesn't have them, you might try eBay.
I know that Dark Horse will release the collected series, but it may be a while (say, Christmas) before they put it out.
lisah, you can borrow mine, and next time I go to my shop I can see if they have the back issues at a reasonable price.
ooooh ooooh thanks Kim! I'll keep 'em safe I swear. And I can return your Firefly tape to you.
I am not wise in the ways of comics getting.
Dark Horse is reprinting all of the individual issues.
Are they?
I noticed that instead of a little picture of Fray on the corner with the issue number - - that this issue had the Dark Horse logo. Is that a sign of a new regime or something?
A Dark Horse rep said that was a plan on a retailer forum I am on a month or so ago. Not sure if the plan has remained the same.
Dark Horse has been putting the horse head on a lot of their titles recently. Just a design change.
So how many Tales of the Slayer comics are out? I've got the graphic novel, and Vol. One of the short stories, but I'm talking about the current serial. I've got the first one, with Rachel O'Connor. Are there others?
My comment on this issue: Umm, did anything happen?

It really isn't a current serial, SA. The reason they labeled the Rachel O'Connor issue (with the fabulous Gene Colan art) is that Dark Horse may issue more one-shots, but it won't be on any kind of regular schedule.
There is a Vol. Two of the short stories. I'm reading it right now. So far, I'd have to say they have been mildly disappointing, but I'm only about halfway through. I did like the Tale about a medieval Japanese Slayer, though.
