So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

The end analysis, ala Plastic Man of all people, was that if you separate Bruce Wayne and Batman, you don't just get a psychopath and a playboy--Bruce Wayne needs all of Batman's training and discipline just to keep his own anger from consuming him.

That's one of the better JLA storylines, at least in terms of Bat insight. And also J'onn insight.

Elseworlds, I love it. Krypton on Earth, ever read that one?

Not yet. I'll check my to-read stack and see if I have it.

How did you feel about the Supergirl/Batgirl Elseworld's Finest?

To understand what happened at the diner, we shall use Mr. Papaya! This is upsetting because he's the friendliest of fruits.

Dick's intent may be more noble, but I suspect Roy winds up being a hell of a lot less confusing for the women involved.

Funnily enough, Roy seems to stay on mostly good terms with most of the women in his past. Even Chesire. Who, of course, is the psychopathic murderer who happens to be his one true love.

Which, I suppose, would make actual emotional commitments afterward kind of tough. Oh well, at least he's mostly upfront about it.

Favorite Roy comment from DG's run on Titans:

Lian's babysitter: Wow. You're not as togetether as you seem.

Roy: Please. No one who knows me is fooled for a second.

I have a plan.

Can't say I've read many a comic in the last year so I think I missed that one. But, dammit all this talk has me itching to go out and pick up some TPBs.

Must

Memory refresher: Who's Roy?

Roy Harper, foster son of Ollie Queen, the original Green Arrow.

Was once known as Speedy, now goes by Arsenal.

Big old ho.

an overblown libretto and a sumptuous score/ could never contain the contradictions I adore

Big old ho.

Bless his heart.

It's starting to seem like the first incarnation of the Titans was ho training camp, at least for the boys-- what with Roy, and Dick, and I'm told Wally as well, before he settled down.

Did Donna have this problem too? And what's-his-face-- Aqualad?

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Who's Roy?

Roy Harper, aka Arsenal, formerly aka Speedy -- current Outsider, former GA sidekick, man-ho, dedicated single dad, sexay when not drawn like Aflac.
