ita, about your TT question, my answer is that yes, it was.

As much as I love TT, #12 was a smidge confusing. But how can you not love intestinal worm!Gar? And Conner calling Cassie his girlfriend -- the first thing I thought was "beard!"

I have a question about Astounishing #2 -- what up with the dragon? I don't know any X-Men backstory, so is this a creature that's always been Kitty's sidekick?

My cousin gave me a gift certificate to Barnes & Noble for my BD, which I think I will use to get Batgirl: Year One.

Also:

And Batsfolks, are you not pleased with my Year One purchase?

Of course we are pleased.

I contrast Willingham's wack-ass characterization with Johns' in Teen Titans, who manages to make Tim light-hearted AND psychotic, which is how he ought to be.

Yup. Johns is nailing all of the characters, actually. Good stuff. (Plus, I have the belief that Johns gets the Kon/Tim thing, and deliberately does things like the "Tim, you gotta give me a reason to stay" line.)

To understand what happened at the diner, we shall use Mr. Papaya! This is upsetting because he's the friendliest of fruits.

On, Astounishing, which I've not actually read yet, Steph., Lockheed the dragon is, well, an alien that attached itself to Kitty while they were in space. He's been her pet--although he may see that differently--for years.

Huh. Thanks, Victor. I did not know that, either. Weird.

I read Astounishing, which I will never be able to spell or pronounce correctly now, thanks to you people. Liked the Kitty/Emma smackdown. Also liked the idea of a Scott/Logan smackdown for beer. And I thought that Beast's desire to know about the mutant cure was in character, from what I've seen. Oh! And I laughed my ass off when Beast was singing to Logan while the X-Men were getting questioned by the reporters.

Yup. Brother Blood, who is just plain weird.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Yup. Brother Blood, who is just plain weird.

Y'know, for a Brother Blood storyline it wasn't that bad. (I generally am not of the fond.)

Teen Titans had several panels this week that made me go o.0, as you can tell by my earlier summary. Also, many that made me go "EEWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!" My Bart-love remains strong, as is right and proper.

Plei, I'm starting to like Bart more. I just get the sense that he's really really YOUNG, compared to the other Titans. Not necessarily age-wise (because he's from the *future,* yo), but temperment-wise.

Did the last panel make you go o.0, or go EWWWWWWWWW!!! ?

Oh, and I named my new car "Flash," because it's surprisingly zippy, but I'm starting to think I should change the name to "Bart," because it's zippy but also small and cute and a little odd.

Of course, if I change the name to "Bart," all my meatspace friends -- non-comics-reading people -- will think I mean Simpson. Meh.
