I loved all of that, plus the sparring with Diana, which just made me think of Amych, and Helena's expression when she tells the class she's going to be their teacher. And I really loved the sushi. She writes a wonderful Jim. And yeah, the Arsenal crack was most certainly laugh-out-loud funny.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

We didn't pick up any superhero comics today. Our shop was out of IC #1, but have promised to set one aside for me when they get the re-shipment in. Pete asked me if I wanted to pick up Outsiders or Nightwing, but I'm still waffling on becoming hooked on them. I probably WILL pick up the Outsiders tpb, but I dunno if I wanna get into the individual issues.

Last issue of Bone = hmmm. I think I liked Bone better when it was just really funny, before it became a Big Epic. But I was tickled by the Rat Creatures finally getting quiche.

New Promethea! Iiiiiiiieee! OMG OMG, want the next issue now.

Aaaaaand, because I am a target market, I bought a cuddly toy zombie bunny at the comic store. Clovis is very pleased with this, and has named it Moredread.

Jilli, when in doubt, read mine until the hooks are in firmly.

Err, I mean, until you make up your mind.

I had more thoughts on BoP #68, but it was a little long for heavy whitefonting, so I'm just going to link.

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

Picked up Ult. Spidey 61 and, based on all the glowing recomendations here, Identity Crisis #1.

US #61 was kind of dull for me. It felt very "we have to move this plot forward" and that's it to me.

I enjoyed IC #1, even if I'm not familiar with a lot of the characters. It was very well done and I don't really have any more to add that wasn't already covered by everyone else.

Yeah. Particularly the "Two Months Later...." For some reason that just struck me as lame.

Though I liked the final panel a LOT.

Tep!

Did you get BoP #68? Did you? Did you???

I want to discuss BoP #68. Right now, I'm mainly burbling (all my thought like thoughts are in the LJ), but damn it, I *really* loved the character-building and sympathy building Simone did with this issue. And I love Josh. Love him. Almost as much as I love Gail Simone. She's done for Helena what Winick's run on Green Lantern did for Kyle for me, taking her that step beyond just interesting character and into full flesh.

I did not get BoP #68, though I flipped through it in the store. I was very amused by the snark-fest at the beginning, including the "Who *hasn't* Huntress fucked?" conversation, because there was a similar conversation in this thread just a few days ago.

But I didn't buy it, because it didn't grab me. (Please don't shun me.)

I have an Identity Crisis question related to Robin, because I am way too fond of that little stalker. He's in IC as Robin, and his dad knows that he's Robin. Clearly this is before Robin 124-125, because Jack isn't all flipped out.

I know that the DC titles aren't perfectly synchronized in terms of chronology, so that's not my question. I only started reading Robin at 125 (because my damned store doesn't have 124 anywhere), so -- when did Jack find out that Tim was Robin, and why was he calm about it for a while (because IC sure makes it look like he was calm about it), and what precipitated Jack finding out about Bruce and then flipping out?

You are SUCH a freak.

I haven't been this burbly about an issue since Nightwing #93.

Jack finds out at the end of 124, IIRC. I'd have to open my box and look.

We've discussed it in-thread. The information seems contradictory. Just wave your hands and wank it. (My wank is that in this, Tim has gone back to being Robin, and Jack just found out.)

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Post Spoiler somehow, you mean?

Art Crawl!!!

And Teppy - the TPB for that arc of Robin is coming out August 11th.

Plei -- I loved the characterizations in BoP #68 (I went and ordered Of Like Minds because I needed to know more.

Question: If Huntress is new to the group -- who was the third BoP before her and what happened to her? (I may be misunderstanding comments made upthread about Huntress and her place in the team.)
