"Don't think of yourself as an organic pain collector racing towards oblivion." Dogbert to Dilbert

Oh, god, now that you've mentioned it, I'm earwormed with a lead-in.

Glad to help.

Ooh. I've decided I like Milla.

Good call, because, you know, DD's girlfriends have the life expectancy of a Spinal Tap drummer. (At least Elektra got better).

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Wait a sec! Dude, Milla could totally turn into that blind assassin from "Blind Date."

Wait, crap, she got killed too. Dammit.

Also, since I started with the new volume (though I did read Miller's The Man Without Fear ), I never really saw much of the relationships with Karen and Elektra. Milla's the first one I've watched develop.

... and that's a Pantera's box you don't want to open. - Mister Furious

What I'm currently liking about DD is the relationship all the street level New York heroes have going. They're this close to having bushwacker and electro busting in on their weekly poker game.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

About all that's new for me today is Ultimate Spidey #61.

I read BoP #67, and I think I jumped in at a bad point, because all it really did was confuse the hell out of me, so I'm not very inclined to continue. Advice?

And I need to pick up IC #1.

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

About all that's new for me today is Ultimate Spidey #61

Same here.

Next week is Astonishing X-Men #2, I believe.

Because, D00d -- Carnage!

Did you see the order form in the back of #60, where you can get a bunch of Marvel titles -- including Ultimate Spidey AND Astounishing X-Men -- for 50% off? The only thing that irritates me is you have to call or mail it in; the discount doesn't work on their website.

Ooh, Carnage has arrived? Fun. Hey, has he done Venom yet?

Venom is pretty early in the run of Ultimate Spidey, so if you're reading through them in order, you should get to Venom soon.

I remember the first appearance of Carnage, way way WAY back in the day, when my brother and I were freaked way the hell out, and couldn't WAIT for the next issue. Same with Kraven's Last Hunt.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Today: GC, GK, BoP, Outsiders.

amych, talk to me about BoP. Was #67 just a bad place for me to jump in? Should I give #68 a shot?
