Oh, yeah. There was this time I was pinned down by this guy that played left tackle for varsity... Well, at least he used to before he was a vampire... Anyway, he had this really, really thick neck, and all I had was a little, little Exact-O knife ... You're not loving this story.

with a gleam in my eye, and an almost airtight alibi

You can, however, hypothesize that the events of Robin 125, when Bruce is all, "duh, of course there's a contingency plan if our identities get blown!" are why Nightwing never worries about the Old Folks Back Home as everyone he cares about is getting blowed up over in Bludhaven.

Plei, yes, two degrees -- did I mention I chose Brown because there were no math requirements?

That remains so cool.

Hey, people with kids--what would you recommend giving an 8 year old if you want to get him raised right hooked on comics?

I look more rad than Lutheranism

I understand the Teen Titans comic that's based on the TV show is pretty good for that level. I think it's called Teen Titans Go!

It gives an entree into the Batverse, without the fucked-upped-ness of the more adult title. (Really, I was re-reading Titans 1-11 today, and the amount that Kon swears has really endeared me to him. Spidey never swears.)

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Fables.

I mean, wait, no.

"You can't put a price on the joy of not giving a shit." -Zenkitty

Doesn't just bring it to mind. It's a reference to it.

Yes, thanks, DX. I do occasionally read something other than comics. I find it helps with the bantering.

I loves me some super manwhore Arsenal. As opposed to Nightwing, who would probably be a Superman whore.

"So, you guys know Robin? Is he seeing anyone?"

Dying. Of. Cute. I must get more YJ backissues.

To understand what happened at the diner, we shall use Mr. Papaya! This is upsetting because he's the friendliest of fruits.

I guess what Nightwing did with Huntress could be qualified as dating in broadest sense of the word.

Heh. Between Nightwing, Arsenal and Grace, I think the ad copy should read something like, "Outsiders: A super team worth sleeping with!"

an overblown libretto and a sumptuous score/ could never contain the contradictions I adore

My little sister's reading my copy of the first Teen Titans TPB, and she seems to like it. And I think she's gonna read my Ultimate Spideys next.

I just read the first issue of Ultimate Spidey. Interesting that in this version, Osborne presumably will know his identity from the onset. I'm anxious to see how that plays out in the rest of the first trade.

I'm all for truth in advertising.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Yeah, it's Teen Titans Go, Emmett loves it (and the cartoon) and it's up to issue 7 or 8.

He also likes the Cartoon Network comic Cartoon Cartoon!, and has at other times read the Powerpuff Girls comic.
