Death is your art. You make it with your hands day after day. That final gasp, that look of peace. And part of you is desperate to know: What's it like? Where does it lead you? And now you see, that's the secret. Not the punch you didn't throw or the kicks you didn't land. She really wanted it. Every Slayer has a death wish. Even you.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

Here you go, dear.

Excellent -- I'm still marginally confused, but less so now. But -- was Scott and Emma's "psychic affair" as cheesey as it sounds? Also, when/why did Emma become good?

Dude, while I'd love to be Plei, I am in fact NOT. But thank you for the mistake.

You are both notable for your sexiness and crankiness. It's an easy mistake.

Nice recovery.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

HULK SMASH HEC!

See? Sexy. Also I do believe Ple could crush the Hulk with her bosom.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

My bosom is for nestling young Robins.

Well, that's undeniably true for I've seen the evidence. You have a magical bosom with both the power to nurture and to destroy.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Steph, Emma used to be part of a group called the Hellfire Club, which seemed to be bent on world domination through manipulation. She also ran a school for mutant teens (Massachusetts Academy) and her kids were called Hellions.

Stuff happened, she became less evil, and she's been working with the X-Men for a while. She had a mental affair with Cyclops (she's a psi, plus she can assume diamond form, and now that Jean's dead, she's all over Cyke.

I wasn't actually reading for this part. I think she was helping him out with psychic therapy, and it went from there.

She became good as a reaction to anti-mutant sentiment, most basically. Or she allied with the X-folks, anyway. Since Magneto ran the school for a while, this doesn't even ping the radar of Huh?

To understand what happened at the diner, we shall use Mr. Papaya! This is upsetting because he's the friendliest of fruits.

Actually, it wasn't that bad. Morrison handled it pretty well, I thought. Also, evidently, Emma is the only licensed sex therapist on the X-staff. Personally, I think every super hero team should have one!

Also, a lot of her former students died, which softened her a bit.

Christ knows the Outsiders could use one... NOT Grace.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

NOT Grace.

Roy seems perfectly willing to do the job.

Of course, he seems perfectly willing to do the team, which may be part of the problem.

Y'know, I love my boy, but I'm thinking he's part of the problem, not part of the solution.

And my brain just about exploded at the notion of Roy/Anissa, because hello to the random family issues, what with dead cousins and flakey quasi-parents, and man, BL would Blow. His. Top.
