No, I don't think I will - me, quoting Captain Steve Rogers, to all of 2020

Yeah, but they're really craptacular. They have dental floss, insted of a grapnel line, and breath mints instead of tear gas. Most of the little pouches are filled with those pamphlets and personality tests.

Well, yeah. You don't see Scientologists out there to fight crime.

They just annoy muggers, not defeat them.

Art Crawl!!!

So, I went to the comic shop and found No Man's Land Book 1 -- omg -- it's good! I didn't have time to read much of it but man.

Is Cataclysm also good?

Is Cataclysm also good?

Yeah. Painful, though.

There's one story in it I *have* to skip, or I'll start freaking out.

I just found it on ebay! I hope it arrives soon.

I need to not buy anything else now.

Oh, hey, I've got a question...

Is Astro City still being published? I've got the four TPBs, but couldn't find out if any more issues/TPBs were forthcoming.

"Don't think of yourself as an organic pain collector racing towards oblivion." Dogbert to Dilbert

They recently finished up a 5-issue run called Astro City: Local Heroes that will be collected in a hard cover in May, but not sure when the trade will be coming out. Issue #2, which was kind of a take on Silver Age Lois Lane's pursuit of proving that Superman and Clark Kent were the same person, was nominated for a Harvey Award for best single issue or story of 2003.

Excellent stuff, and last week, an Astro City/Arrowsmith flip book came out that had a short story that would set up the next series, Astro City:The Dark Age, which will apparently reveal (in a sideways fashion, according to the text article in the flipbook) what happened to the Silver Agent, but the focus will be on the hero the Black Badge, introduced in the flip book.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Allyson got me thinking of beautiful visuals.

Unfortunately, most of my comics are halfway across the country from me, so I can't pull from them to aid my failing memory.

However, a quick google reminds me I love:

For starters.

Others?

ita, I'll have to check when home.

I know I haven't been able to stop staring at this for a good while.

Alex Ross is a GOD!

Of drawring at least.

Oh, that does give one a good pain, doesn't it?

Now my head is bubbling with art deathmatch scenarios. Best title cover. Best character art. Artist's best.

Must stop.
