I don't know if he is used to using the kind of budgets that British TV uses...
He grew up in Britain part of his childhood so I think he's got a clue. Also Ripper didn't sound like it would need much in the way of special effects. It was going to be more mystery/psychological/dark than Buffy.
Billytea, it took me a few minutes to find, but here are the BBC's open submission policy area.

Now, whether or not they'll actually read/buy it is another thing, but they have a policy in place.

CaBil, have another look at my post. (I've rewritten it a bit - I've become a bit obscure lately, it seems.)
Oops, never mind me...
Ar, it's me. This is about the third time over the last couple days I've gone the double entendre without it being picked up. You start to see a pattern after a while.
Whitefonted because this isn't a NAFTA thread:
Hey, we still don't know if the Ripper's around for a series. An axe through the head sometimes gets in the way of detective work.
Although that does remind me of a particular Kids in the Hall skit.
Sorry, Hayden. I decided to be stompy before too many folks saw your post. It's spoilery for what's already aired on Buffy season 7.
Oh, ok. Sorry. I'm rusty on the rules.
Angel's ratings are stronger this year than last, as I recall. It's not going anywhere.
I was thinking that after all these series, it'd be nice to see Joss doing some mini-series. Essentially they'd be one-story-arc shows, but that's still more that a lot of shows have. And they'd be able to start fresh every year, or every couple months, with a whole new cast of characters to kill.
