I'm betting Bats has a little mental threat-scale

Yes, except they're electronic. Files on every single one of 'em. He's got those Crays in his cave cranking away at any number of scenarios, probabilities, contingency plans, and neutralization methods both lethal and non.

Oh sure, but you of all people should know that respect between them and subtextual (or even texual) tension does not in any way preclude Bruce wanting Clark to remain naive in case he ever has to kill his alien ass

Naive about Bruce's contingency plans for him? Oh, sure. No argument there. Naive in general? I don't know about that one, because Bruce sure bitches about Clark's naivete often enough...

Edited because although I like Methos, he does not belong in this post.

No, I don't think I will - me, quoting Captain Steve Rogers, to all of 2020

Yeah, it depends on which criteria Bats is going by.

I mean, if he's going by power-level...

Supes/Martian Manhunter
Flash
Green Lantern (universe's most powerful weapon)
Wonder Woman
Plastic Man (can turn into just about anything)
Steel
Huntress (he can take her down in her own home any time he wants)

Who's in the current comics JLA line-up anyway?

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Wonder Woman: The Hiketeia (she beats up on Batman in this one)

This is probably the best WW storyline ever.

Karl Kesel's "World's Finest" was also a fantastic Bats/Supes story.

It's really wonderful, and I like the art.

MM, what's your opinion on Hush? Reviews I've seen have been mixed. (I've read the first half or so, and liked.)

You know, if you're already feeling out of emotional sorts? Don't, for the love of Mike, go back and re-read the last ten or so issues of Nightwing. Just... don't.

I didn't know it would hurt more on re-read.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Are they ever going to release Hush in paperback?

I look more rad than Lutheranism

Wonder Woman: The Hiketeia (she beats up on Batman in this one)

This is probably the best WW storyline ever.

It's the first WW I've read since I was, oh, 8 or so. It's *really* good.

Haven't read it. I actually haven't actively collected comics in a couple years. The stories seemed to go through a slump o' suckage and I decided it wasn't worth the bucks I poured into it at the time. I became "pickier", buying the occasional interesting thing or collected stuff.

So I'm wwwwaaaayyyyy behind on a bunch of stuff.

Shut up, you.

To show my true dorkiness, I will confess to idly constructing ways for Bats to kill off various members of the JLA, should that become necessary. As an "intellectual exercise".

ETA: Yes, I also indulge in the "who would win in a fight" exercises too.
