Hmm. It's sounds like the finest party I can imagine getting paid to go to.

Remember, remember/the fifth of November/the Gunpowder Treason and Plot/I see no reason/Why Gunpowder Treason/Should ever be forgot.

Yeah, that too.

But read the Tales of the Vampire first...

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

As for 1602, I was very, very surprised by a lot of things. They killed off Dr. Strange! It was very Minearish, IMO. I was not quite as surprised by what happened to Jean.

The ending, on the other hand, was one of the best examples of HSQ that didn't involve blood and/or pain. That was probably the last character I expected to be other than what he seemed.

The only thing that felt a little off to me was the bit with Reed Richards talking about stories. Although it was neat in and of itself, it was too obviously Gaiman being Gaiman.

Another social casualty...

Anne is me in all things. Do you think Jean is really dead or did she become Phoenix? I can't decide.

I'm thinking really dead, simply because it would actually be a bit of a twist.

S to the A -- using they/them pronouns!

I am sooooo behind on 1602.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I don't know -- they did say "ashes." I didn't see her death coming, and I realise that I really should have, because protecting shipmates and dying doing so is how it went down the first time.

The generation that could change the world is still looking for its car keys.

Reading these posts without highlighting the spoilers is very interesting.

That is all.

I am looking forward to more people having read 1602 #7. I want to discuss!
