Hard work often pays off after time, but laziness always pays off now.

So I suppose that telling hayden that Xorn was Magneto would be a bad thing.

Well, ok, that makes sense.

Remember, remember/the fifth of November/the Gunpowder Treason and Plot/I see no reason/Why Gunpowder Treason/Should ever be forgot.

Well, I was trying to avoid mentioning that, since he mentioned he was reading the trades rather than the monthly issues, but I guess that is no longer a worry...

To understand what happened at the diner, we shall use Mr. Papaya! This is upsetting because he's the friendliest of fruits.

Well, since we're on the subject, There really was no way that Magneto was dead. Even Grant Morrison's not going to kill a character like that off-camera. What I've liked about the run is that Magneto's been a looming presence in the book from the get-go. I also like that--in the tradition of the Buffy season arcs, Magneto seems to be turning out to be the little bad, and Phoenix may well turn out to be the Big Bad.

"Don't think of yourself as an organic pain collector racing towards oblivion." Dogbert to Dilbert

I had been following along in trades, but I was spoiled in a blog. When I get time, I'll go back and read through the issues again to catch up on the clues that were laid out.

In Buffy- related news, Cameron Stewart, the artist on the first issue of Tales of the Vampires, has the first six pages of the story (no color, no dialog) up at this site.

No other candidate is asking the hard questions, like "Did geophysicists assassinate Jim Henson?" or "Why is there hydrogen in America's water supply?" --defective yeti

Speaking of Ultimate Spider-Man, what happened to the MTV series? People plugged it, Brian Michael Bendis was helming it, but my Tivo's never seen it.

They've shown some episodes about 2 months back, but I don't know exactly when they were scheduled to run (who knows with MTV's scheduling?) Bendis' role was scaled way back to where he was a consultant, and maybe had some script input on the first episode or so.

The response was generally "eh" from the comcs boards.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

They were showing them last summer on Friday evenings, there were about 13 episodes, then it went into reruns.

It was OK, but not so good to make me watch MTV to find out if/when there are more episodes.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Is there a release date on the Firefly DVDs?
