Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

New sucks. I like Grant, a lot, but his Magneto's a caricature on drugs.

What's the one where Spidey's young, and meeting Wolverine for the first time? Too many adjectives.

I think that was an Ultimate Spider Man issue

Yes, although I can't remember which # off the top of my head. I have it at home.

Maybe it's a crossover. The one I'm thinking of has Wolverine being chased by a team of assassins related to his Weapon X history. Spidey's definitely peripheral.

Oh. It could be, at that. Marvel has a lot of x-over titles, just within Ultimates, let alone other titles. I'm having a hard time following my beloved Spidey across all the Ultimates titles.

Remember, remember/the fifth of November/the Gunpowder Treason and Plot/I see no reason/Why Gunpowder Treason/Should ever be forgot.

Actually, that is the second time they meet, just the first time without the masks.

And it is in the Ultimate X-men title...

the first time without the masks.

I guess I missed that part. They were wearing masks in the X-Men I read.

aka "The artist formerly known as Corwood Industries."

Unless it's an extremely recent development, Magneto's dead in the Morrison New X-Men series and has been since his first issue. Personally, I think it's not-just-brilliant-but-fucking-brilliant, but I'm not a regular X-Men/Marvel reader.

Then it must be another title. Magneto's alive, has Professor X in a tank of fluid, he's on some drug that lets him control crowds, he has a posse of really dumb evil mutants, Genoshasomethingsomething, and Wolverine is hurtling through space on a chunk of city with Jean and they're running out of oxygen, and he takes her outside after she passes out.

It's the Morrison New X-Men hayden. He's been back for a couple of issues now.
