Good, I'm caught up. Thanks.
Sequential Tart has 13 Questions with Neil Gaiman.
A story at Newsrama was posted today giving a lot more detail about the upcoming Tales of the Vampires mini-series. A brief rundown of the article reveals the following:
Joss has multiple stories that will be presented, the first one illustrated by Cameron Stewart, formerly the penciller on Catwoman.
Drew Goddard is listed for 2 stories, one involving Dracula, one involving Spike and Dru.
Jane Espenson is on board for 2 stories, with one being an illustrated poem.
Brett Matthews (the co-writer of the Angel Vol 2 comic) will write a story.
Ben Edlund may be writing a story, and is definitely drawing the cover of the last issue of the mini-series, #5.

Yay Ultimate Drew but grooooaaaannnnn Dracula. I'm not a fan of Buffy v. Dracula (not the main storyline anyway, there are some great subplots, character moments in the ep for sure) and would prefer to NEVER see him in the Buffyverse again.
But also yay yay yay on the JE news. Just knowing that she is still involved somehow with the Buffyverse makes me infinitely happy.
Did anybody else ever see the mini-story of Tales of the Vampires in Drawing on Your Nightmares? by Brett Matthews. Am I wrong in not seeing any Buffverse characters in it?

Fingers crossed.
1602 came out today.
And reading it, I intuited something. I have no proof that I am right, but I think the Queen is not dead .
I'll be interested in your reactions, CaBil, as I came out thinking the exact opposite.
Tina, I finally read the Tales of the Vampires story in Drawing on your nightmares. As far as I can tell, there were no recognizable Buffyverse characters in it, but they were all unnamed, so there could be a connection. I do think they were clearly MEverse vampires though, given the way they were drawn. I also think the TotV will be written like the Tales of the Slayers in that there are lots of Slayers we don't directly know from BtVS, but they clearly inhabit the same universe.
Can anyone explain the XVerse to me? In one comic, Xavier's a comatose captive of a drug-addicted and loopy Magneto, in another he's calmly reassembling the New Mutants. And Wolverine! He just died, after killing Jean Grey, except not, I'm sure. He's also with Nightcrawler in Hell, learning that Satan is Kurt's dad.
CaBil, I kinda suspect what you do, mostly because we haven't seen a body on the paper, or anything right up in her court. But I'm not wedded to it.
ita, the thing that started the train of thought for me was Doom learned of the posion from Reed? And Reed didn't think Doom would use that way? Reed is way to smart to fall for that, and giving Doom something that would cause the illusion of death would be within Reed's gameplaying character ...
