ita, when Dr. Strange had his vision about the cause of the strange weather plaguing England, he had a vision of Virginia. In #2, the Queen mentions that Virginia brought good weather with her. Yeah, it's pretty minor, but it's there.

I'm learning sooooo much about this comic universe, man. I feel so edjumacated.
Hmm. I will be so mad if they whitefy Storm.
Why? You just did .
(edited to add visible period)
And don't think I'm not mad at me for doing so.

The other part of Jane Espenson's Jonathan comic is up at the BBC. Is that all?
OK, it appears that Salt Lake now only has 2 comic shops. THis is a city of over a million people (well, in the metro area) and only 2 places to buy 1602? This is just wrong.
Okay, now I'm envisioning what a Mormon-specific comic book shop's stock would be like.
Remember that Snowbird's mother was Nelvanna, the Inuit goddess of the Northern Lights. Might have something to do with clearing the skies of bad weather.
I tore through all of Fray and both issues of 1602 Friday night. I haven't purchased comics in probably 10 years and I'd forgotten how short they are.
That said, they were both great. I'm glad to hear Joss is planning on doing more Fray and the letters in issue 8 were hilarious. I was unfortunately spoiled for the car thing and the betrayal, so I think they both lost a lot of impact (though I still laughed at Fray's reaction to the car thing.) Really glad I wasn't spoiled for the Big Bad reveal and I thought the whole thing was an interesting spin on the Slayer mythos. Favorite little moment would be Urkonn and Loo's introduction. The art really sells it.:)
As for 1602, I'm glad that even though I haven't really kept up with the Marvel Universe, I'm only confused about the same characters everybody else is.:) I'm disappointed that it's only going to be 8 issues.
Re: 1602, like Victor, for a couple of pages in this issue, I was thinking Virginia Dare could be Gwen Stacy, but that was just the interaction w/Peter Parquagh. Besides the hair color, there's nothing Gwen-ish about her. The final panel convinced me she's Snowbird, despite the "nothing after 1969" bit.
She's either Snowbird, or someone completely new. She can't be Storm. It makes no sense for her to be Storm.
She'd better not be Storm.
