Embrace the idea that we are the leaders we've been looking for. Grace Lee Boggs

Thanks DJ! I haven't read the email carefully yet, but what I see so far looks really helpful. I really appreciate all the work you put into this!

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

Ok. I am about done with the credit thingie. I have to attach the sample report and credit letters. I have 13 names. Does anybody else want a copy?

I'd love a copy, DJ. GF and I have been discussing credit and the best way to make sure we've got a safety net when it comes to paying for the baby, so some ideas on what will and will not screw up our credit would be nice.

Uhm, I've been skipping (lots and lots!) and skimming. What's the credit thingie?

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

Sent. I also have stuff on budgeting, savings and home finance. I'll put those together maybe in the next month or two and send those out to anyone who wants.

2 things I think I forgot to mention. One: Document everything! Keep at least two copies. I've had umpteen clients who have paid something off, or disputed and had it resolved in their favor only to have it show up again. Two: Anytime you are giving your info to someone who is going to pull a report make sure you use the name you use for all banks and lenders, that the SS number you give is correct and legible, that you don't leave off Jr. or Sr. or whatever. Information that doesn't match can create a subfile.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

I put together a little primer on credit from stuff I've had experience with and guides we use for work.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

Could you send it to me, DJ? I think it would be very useful for my daughter. She's still trying to dig herself out of a bad credit hole and she could use some pointers on the best way to do it. She's learned the hard way about holding on to documents and is still paying for the lack of foresight.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

Sent. The good news for your daughter, is that it really is just a snapshot of your current creditworthiness. So you can get your credit back on track. It's getting out of the debt that is the most difficult.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Thanks Daisy for putting the credit memo together.

It's getting out of the debt that is the most difficult.

Then I'll keep a copy for myself! I'm asea in debt right now and it's hell trying to get back to a reasonable level of indebtedness.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Me please! Thanks for doing this, DJ.
