Jayne: There's times I think you don't take me seriously. I think that ought to change. Mal: Do you think it's likely to?

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

Found it! This is one of the many reasons I love FNL.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

ita, I love black and cream -- less severe than gray, and also easy in the goes-with-(almost)-everything-else way.

Black and cream is an excellent color scheme for a classic car.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I've been listening to this and giggling today. It's a mp3 snippet of a recent performance at the Met where a soprano briefly loses control of her vocal cords: [link]

Heh. That's especially funny because she's doing so well up to that point and then she just completely spazzes it.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

I guess I should just get over myself and realise that business formal isn't my style, so I should stop trying to find a way to force the square peg on pretty much no budget at all.

Maybe add a cool scarf or funky earrings? Perhaps a wacky pin?

In Generation X Douglas Coupland called this an "Anti-Victim Device" used to indicate you really, really weren't a corporate tool even when you were.

Art Crawl!!!

FNL: I think my favorite line (if I remember it correctly was CT and Tami sitting in the car outside the jail and CT saying, "All the other parents have picked up their perps, why can't we pick up ours?"

Hee. Oh and when Tyra says, "Where's the other one?"

And I really loved Riggins coaching the JV guys. (And that little bit where Riggins and Matt's coaching styles are at odds at the beginning.)

I just checked work email, and we got a full 8 hours of leave today. And since county schools are going to be closed, I bet they do give us at least a couple of hours tomorrow. Maybe if I keep deciding not to go in, they'll keep giving everyone the day off. Forever!

So if I can't get the car out of its glacier tomorrow, I'm not going to fret about it, since all of this goofing off has yet to cut into my vacation/comp time.

I will need to hike to the store tomorrow, though.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I love Criminal Minds.

Me too! They're hot nerds. Like us!!

What they said! I think Morgan and Garcia are my non-romantic OTP.

Hmm. Suddenly seeing the downside of the No More New England Winters plan -- no snow days!
