Early: So is it still her room when it's empty? Does the room, the thing, have purpose? Or do we -- what's the word? Simon: I really can't help you. Early: The plan is to take your sister. Get the reward, which is substantial. 'Imbue.' That's the word.

Art Crawl!!!

Yes, that's right - Roger is the guy played by Owen from "Never Kill a Boy on the First Date" and Emily is Super-Skeet's ex. Boring. And they weren't in the episode at all. It's the Lana Lang effect: the show is so much better without them. Well, I'm glad that Jake FINALLY asked after Heather. Did you trust the answer that he got?

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

Dinner: shrimp marinara with zucchini, green pepper & onion over whole wheat pasta. Nice to have a home cooked meal after living on to-go sandwiches for a day and a half.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Supermarket sushi and miso soup. I was hoping the wasabi would cut through this cold.

I expect tomorrow to be... challenging.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

The kids ate noodles with butter (or butter noodles, as Franny calls them). C & I ate noodles with sauteed shitakes & feta cheese.

I am impressed that Em eats lasagna. Neither of my kids likes casserole type foods yet.

Em likes everything. She is Joe's daughter for certain.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Em likes everything.

Truer words, man. My child will devour any food type thing put in front of her.

And I swear she out-eats him half the time!

My daughter is a bit of a picky eater, with a decided preference for carbs. She eats meat and fish, but only about 3 or 4 times a week. Whereas Isaac loves meat and protein, ANY meat or protein. But they both prefer food that's been prepared plainly, which isn't a problem, but can get a bit boring for me. I've finally started making sauces just for my own sake.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Did you trust the answer that he got?

I don't know, those New Bern guys are squirrelly. The guy he asked (once gain, don't know his name) seemed really anxious, but I couldn't tell if it was because his fellow townspeople were upsetting him with the hardnosed demands or because he was lying.

That's where I know Roger from. Cool. I didn't even notice that they didn't show, you are absolutely right about the "effect".

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Mmm. You all eat well.

I had a tomato. Oh, and some leftover amber rice.

But did I mention the sushi I had for lunch? 'Cause yum.
