Anya Christina Emmanuella Jenkins. Twenty years old. Born on the fourth of July — and don't think there weren't jokes about that my whole life, mister, 'cause there were. 'Who's our little patriot?' they'd say, when I was younger and therefore smaller and shorter than I am now.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

A gypsy wind is blowin' warm tonight
the sky is scarlet and the time is right
and still you're tellin' me you have to go
before you leave there's somethin' you should know

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I am now filled with regret that I missed Bob Seger's last concert at the Pyramid.

Though not filled with his music, since I had to boot up a video of "Let's Go to the Mall" to get the lyrics and I'll be hearing that for days before anything else can intrude.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

We're going to go see Bob Seger SOON.

YAY

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

We're going to go see Bob Seger SOON.

Just take those old records off the shelf
I'll sit and listen to 'em by myself
Todays music ain't got the same soul
I like that old time rock'n'roll

WHEE!!!!!!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Let's go to the mall today!

Yay! I heard a guy on the subway talking about how (I assume) he got his girlfriend the HIMYM DVDs for Valentine's Day, and telling his friend about how it was so good.

When I left work, I was all ready to write up a big work rant locked down in my LJ, but now I'm home with delicious soup and wine and my cat, and I'm over it.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

Good news to make me feel better. I guess the Amazon rankings have created great buzz and people (i don't know who these people are) are eager to get their hands on the manuscript.

IOW, I now have a a panic-mode sort of deadline, which is good for how my head works, creatively.

Wow. That sounds pretentious.

Not really at all. I have a habit of procrastinating certain things because I do a better job on them with the urgency that a time deadline engenders. It's ingrained into my habits now (cringes at finishing a doc I did exactly this on TOMORROW before the review.)

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Yeah, I had about an hour of work to do on something that was due today, and I had about an hour yesterday to do it, but did I? HELL NO.

Unless you mean the first part, in which case...no, not really at all.

My brane isn't werking well.

Devi has forgotten I fed her her treat a mere hour ago. She is yelling at me. Which sounds a lot like Meeeee! Meeeee!

Proof cats a) are self-centered and b)have really small brains.
