I'll be fine. I'll be your bounty, Jubal Early. And I'll just fade away.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Nutty, I'm sorry you got whammied too. I hope you find something much better too.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Gah, Theo and Nutty. I am so sorry.

March sucks for the jobs.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

Much job~ma to both Nutty and Theodosia!! That really sucks.

Welcome to the world, Noah and Grace! May you put on lots of weight and get all healthy as soon as possible. Congrats to Kat and lori!!

Congrats to SA, too! I hope I hear from my graduate school relatively soon with similar news.

I'm finishing my laundry (first two loads) right now. I went to Walmart after work and spent $55 on various sundries, including a beach towel (only having one isn't a good idea when you're swimming three times a week) and other stuff, including cereal for breakfast until next Tuesday. Of course, I ended up eating Special K for dinner, too.

I think I'm going to have to start bringing in a book to read while I'm on the treadmill--now that I'm on it for longer than 30 minutes, I'm getting bored halfway through my workout. I don't have an mp3 player yet (first, I have to get a computer that will let me load iTunes), so I can't listen to music to distract myself.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Thanks for the slang info, all. This is not likely to be finished tonight.

Daisy Jane, gather up the ducks and go sleep! I'm about to do the same, possibly right here on the keyboard. Slumber.

I don't have your phone # in my paper directory, Lee! (psst. hint.hint. cause I haven't transcribed emails for ages.) Also, I'm trying to be circumspect and not call everyone to deal with me and my thirdariness and neuroses. My mom did a good job of being mom and just being there.

Also? Drink wine then clean. You tend to lose all sense of "ok, stop now" that way. Which means clean!

Um, ok, should to bed now.

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

OMGWTF?!? The babies and the layoffs!

Strenghth and ~ma to all and sundry!

I will send you it.

I think I've decided on a little bit of cleaning, then a little bit of drinking, because I think even one glass will put me to sleep.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

You know, "Five little ducks went out one day. Over the hills and far away. Mother duck said 'Quack quack quak quack' but only four little ducks came back."

I really needed to be earwormed with another children's song

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Nutty & Theo, I'm so very sorry.

OMG! Babies! Many "plump up quick" vibes to the wee ones.

IOShallowN, Friday Night Lights is going to kill me.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

Ok. I've worked on this a while since yahoo doesn't play nice with Macs.

I would like to introduce you to Mr. Jane's bar (in the same sense that that movie is mine). I couldn't stand being out in Dallas until I was introduced to that place. Way laid back, way fun. So, let me take y'all on a tour of The Grapevine. We'll go early when it's not packed.

Welcome [link]

Front of the bar [link]

The front door. Note the initials under the quote. Those are for Mr. Jane's boss who died. He once smacked a buisness card to the forehead of a woman at one of his trendier bars when she was bloviating about how she knew the owner [link]

Come on in [link]

The front bar [link]

Front room looking back at the door [link]

Internet jukebox toward the pool room [link]

Pool room [link]

Through to the back bar [link]

The back bar facing the patio [link]

The back patio [link]

To the basketball court [link]

Where there are also picnic tables [link]

Back to the back bar and through the door [link] and up the stairs [link]

To the rooftop deck overlooking the old Parkland Hospital where Kennedy was taken after he was shot [link] and down Maple toward Oak Lawn [link]

Let's go downstairs and meet the staff! Waiter Zoey and backbartendress Hannah [link]

Our favorite bartender [link]

Let's get a shot from Kevin! [link]

Hey look It's Bartender Gail on a night out hangin' with barback Artemio and Kevin! [link]

Alicia is cleaning up [link] now that the place is hoppin' [link]

Now drink 12 shots of Jager and 6 gin and tonics and go through those pictures again, and it's like you're there.
