It's that time of year again, folks. Time to start shaving my legs again and submitting maintenance requests about my a/c not working.
It's not uncomfortable now, only 75 inside and it will cool down overnight. But I gave it a test run and initially the air coming out was 70 and then it steadily increased. So, yeah. Not really working.
At least now the mgmt company has put a request form online, so that's easier (for misanthropic, phone-hating me.)
Maybe, just MAYBE I can get a new unit before I really need it.

That would be exciting. If unlikely.
Thanks for your optimism, COWGIRL.
But yeah, I'm not holding my breath on this. Though the mgmt company is making itself a LOT more visible now (they used to be virtually impossible to identify, much less contact.) Sending out fliers about "a new and improved era." So I've got a spark of hope.
This could be the year sarameg gets a (working) A/C? Got my fingers crossed!
Second, I'd feel a little ethically sticky about it because this is a service my company provides for free.
I totally get this...at the same time, I help people all the time and they help me...I enjoy bartering! For now, I'll be content with extra special grateful sauce!
AND shaves her legs!
Wait, I do that every year.
For now, I'll be content with extra special grateful sauce!
I love sauce!
Good luck with the AC and the shaving, sarameg! We're not in the switch on the AC stage yet. We're still in sleep with the windows open mode, which I like except that that also makes it waterbug season.
The weather is still mild enough here I'm doing the windows thing for now, and that's fine (well, except when I leave the windows open and there's a driving rainstorm. Like there while I was driving home.) But it won't be much longer and I might as well start bitching early!
Masbe shaving your legs has been your mistake. Switch to waxing and magically get your A/C!
I love being able to have the windows open, a cool breeze from outside is so much nicer than artificially cold A/C air. Except for the bugs, which laugh at my puny screens. It's a shame that it only takes one buzzing and biting mosquito to drive me batty.

Oh, that's good. I'm pleased about my new building ownership, myself. We still have the same awesome super, but I've actually heard from the owner a couple of times, instead of having to stalk the management company like we used to do.
