I say it's the name of a children's cartoon character designed to get kids to floss. They did a whole ad campaign, but when they test-marketed it they discovered that Flossy Flossy was too psychedelic and was encouraging kids to do hallucinogens.
I might have made that up.

OK, some weird pop-culture factoid just popped into my head and I'm trying to figure out if it's true. Was there some '70s sitcom where a female character was in a bar or on a date or something and a guy slipped LSD into her drink?
It's possible I'm confusing this with an actual event when I was in college....
Oh thank goodness. I'm so glad that this is just slang, and not a reference to the elderly lady who used to host me when I came to visit my then-boyfriend SO. Also? How funny is it that 3 of the sidebar google ads are for dentistry. Not all context-sensitive ads are applicable!
Also, I empathize about the plumbing. Plumbing woes suck.
During both Prison Break AND 24 a promo for Bones aired in which I could swear I saw Michael Vartan dressed as a priest. Did anyone else see what I saw?

Boo! to stealth!aurelia. Goodness knows, though, when you're a guest of someone, it isn't necessarily going to be comfortable or easy to make time to see others. But we (the collective Somervillains) would have made it an Occasion, for sure.
