All right, yes, date and shop and hang out and go to school and save the world from unspeakable demons. You know, I wanna do girlie stuff!

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

as soon as I posted my computer woes, I connected. All that means is that I am now testing things and finding OH SO MUCH that is wrong. bother.

I hate sending a status report saying, it was supposed to be complete, but here are all the known remaining problems.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Jessica, it's probably too late, but what I've done when the studs turn out to be unconventionally spaced

The weird thing is, they're not, at least not according to the stud finder (and other things, like where the outlets are). The stud finder is finding 2" studs spaced 16" apart, exactly where they should be. I just can't feel them when I drill in, which makes me nervous. But I suppose it's equally likely that I just don't know what a stud feels like when it's drilled into. (But on the other hand, I want to be sure before I start putting shelves up and expecting them to hold heavy books!)

1X2s that I nailed along the wall

I may end up doing something like this. Which means it won't get done until next weekend, ARGH.

I have a feeling I'm going to encounter the same issues when I go to hang the yet-to-be-purchased pot rack. Home ownership is NO FUN TODAY.

So I got back from grocery shopping and was feeling lame about my day and mom called to tell me how hers went pear shaped. Cat got into cactus. Mom chased cat. Cat ran. Mom couldn't catch cat. Gave up. Caught cat, 1.5 hours before vet appointment. Decided to take cat in early because SHE CAUGHT THE CAT. Waits. Waits. Cat gets sedated, de-cactused. $150. Mom's morning is completely gone (she started at 7 am) and all she's managed to do that was planned was get dressed. Poor mom.

I'm glad for my boring day.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

OMG, msbelle, if you've seen that Olive Garden commercial, you should read his mea culpa! [link]

It starts:

I can't stop thinking about something I did a while ago that I should not have done. I'm afraid that it's about to bring a world of shame on my friends and family and potentially embarrass me for a long time. Fuck, fuck, fuck. I should have been more careful. I am such a dumbass. I wish it would go away....but I am worried it won't. I'm talking of course about ...a commercial for The Olive Garden.

Last summer I shot this really crappy commercial. And the thing is...they tricked me.

I've been trying to catch the commercial, but have yet to see it.

Anyhoo, today I've been sucked into lifestyle television on Style. They sucked me in with Whose Wedding Is It Anyway? and now I"m on the third hour of Clean House (whatever the show with Niecy Nash is called). I baked an omelette, though...I just need to Clean my House now!

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

sarameg, at least she managed to get dressed. Could've been a lot worse.

HA! He's awesome.

got two VHS tapes from library for mac. One would not play at all, the other had tape damage that cut off like the last 10 seconds of a 30 minute cartoon. ANNOYING! Lasttime I reported a book with torn pages to them, they gave me the fish eye - clearly assuming I had done it. whatever I am bringing this to their attention also.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I have randomly become obsessed with this show Lingo on Game Show Network. I think it's new to GSN, and hosted by Chuck Woolery! It's awesome.

Edit: And I just went to the GSN website, and the co-host Shandi is on Dancing With The Stars! She's hilarious with Chuck.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Cowgril--we caption that and everyone in the office loves it. I thjink this is it's third season. Not only that, a person in our office went on it (it was legal because we don't caption a show until it's finished, so we are not employees of the rpduction). She said Chuck Woolery was incredibly gracious and nice and non-smarmy, which she did not expect.
