Sooner or later, you're gonna want it. And the second — the second — that happens, you know I'll be there. I'll slip in, have myself a real good day.

Our wings are not tired.

We had MSNBC on here the half hour before the news conference. The endless rounds of conjecture was absurd. I assume it was the same on CNN. I can barely stand to watch any of the broadcast news anymore they are so full of themselves.

Getting my news from Natter or TDS really is the best plan.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I swear, I really do get most of my political news from TDS and here. I get so impatient with CNN and their ilk anymore.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I get most of my political news from blogs. Daily Kos, Salon's War Room, Crooks and Liars, Huffington Post and Wonkette.

I'm wondering - are there any "principled" conservative blogs? I.e. blogs that actually looks at facts instead of parroting whatever talking points are coming out of the Administration?

Just dropping in to wish Aimee and Joe good luck in moving. With our second kid on the way, we're certainly starting to think that Austin is too expensive and our support network too widely-flung to maintain our lives here for much longer, so I just wanted to offer you sympathy and support.

Will no one think of the children? Why, our Attorney General will!

Attorney General Alberto Gonzales announced this morning: “I’m not going to resign. I’m going to stay focused on protecting our kids.” Speaking before a Project Safe Childhood event, Gonzales told reporters he plans “to go up to the Congress and provide further clarification” about the U.S. Attorney purge, and claimed that his department has been “tremendous in the area of public corruption.”

Gonzales’ declaration that he intends to stay “focused on protecting our kids” comes as he launches a cross-country PR tour to save his job...

Those bastards will really say anything. Oh, and they're playing the race card too.

His office released a dozen testimonials from Latinos and law enforcement groups, with many saying that Gonzales, the first Latino attorney general, was being unfairly held accountable for the fiasco.”

Of course, Gonzales has played that card last week too.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

Edwards is staying in the race, but his wife's cancer has spread to the bone (she broke a rib, and that's how they discovered the spread). It's "not curable, but can be controlled through treatment," so they're pretty optomistic, which is why he's staying in the race.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Crap.

I've seen Elizabeth Edwards speak twice and I am crushed for her. She's a dynamic woman and I hope for the best for them.

How awful about Mrs. Edwards. I'm amazed they're staying in the race. That's brave.

Our wings are not tired.

Edwards isn't my candidate of choice, but I refuse to consider who my candidate of choice is until Next Year! I thought his announcement was well done and sense making. He really shouldn't have joked about beating his wife though.

Oddly, my sister's lung cancer was discovered much the same way as they described. A friend gave her a big hug and she cracked a rib. When they did the x-ray they saw the cancer. It would have been much worse if not for the hug. Elizabeth said she had hurt her back moving a piece of furniture, then cracked a rib when John hugged her and she twisted oddly. Without the ouchy the cancer would not have been detected at this time.

Also, cancer sucks.

Not only did CNN say he was suspending his campaign, so did Reuters, ABC, CBS, and more no doubt. Gotta rush to be first with the wrong news.

That makes this Wonkette headline even more funny:

BREAKING: Edwards To Suspend Campaign, Maybe, Possibly, Don't Rely On Us For Hard News For God's Sake
