NYC-branded condom released on Valentine's Day

The New York City Health Department today unveiled the NYC Condom, the first in the nation with an official brand. The NYC Condom is the same high-quality LifeStyles product the Health Department now distributes through health centers and community organizations. The price hasn't changed – it's still free – but the package has a bold new look.

During the morning rush, community volunteers and others handed out more than 150,000 NYC Condoms across the five boroughs. More than 100 night spots and retail outlets – including Kenneth Cole, Theory and MAC Cosmetics – are giving them out to clients throughout the day, and many will continue to distribute them. NYC Condoms are also available, starting today, in bulk order to clinics and community organizations. To find out where to get a free NYC Condom, or to place a bulk order, call 311 or visit www.nyccondom.org.

I file FNL with Veronica Mars: they may be good shows, but being good isn't enough to make me care. And I think I'm still burned out on shows about teenagers.

Coffee has been consumed. Now: Bundle up. Laundry. Car. Then food. That is my plan.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Children make coffin for dying teacher

That would make such a good little gothic comic book.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

Aw, looks like no flight to NYC for poor Ohio-trapped Bob Bob today. The actual sad part is I was kind of relieved because that means I can work later tonight.

That isn't snow out there. It's the Devil's Own Slushee. Fucking ow.

I had to literally take handfuls off my car because it wouldn't shove off. And I couldn't lift a full shovel of snow. Hell, couldn't lift half a shovel. More like an eighth. And then the fucking plow came through and they're plowing like it is a street, not a lot (lot: small runs with little spill, get to an open area, dump) and I had to reshovel that shit.

Summary: I hate winter.

I'm going to wait for my gloves to dry before I head over to Giant. Oh, and I'm monitoring work (some vacation day) and the server is sick. Again.

I just stepped on my cat. Clearly, they are not used to me being home during the week. They are more underfoot than usual.

My hand hurts from shovelling. How pathetic is that?!

Also, I just did work. Boo me.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

When I left this morning, the cat was laying sprawled over her platform six feet up her condo, so that her tail was dangling over one end and one of her front paws was dangling over the other. She moved her head so she could watch me get all bundled up to head to work, and her look was pitying--"You poor, poor human, having to go out into that."
