I know! It felt like I was squeeing over something every 2 minutes. Street
has a gift for breaking it down
into
manageable pieces.
I like this new development. Tyra broke me into itty bitty pieces. She
wants so badly to be part of a normal family. She was even willing to try Eric's chili.
His
"award-winning chili!" I love that man.
Ooh, and Tami
with the "you're going to the dance and you will make me happy even if it kills you" talk. It's no small feat to shame both husband and daughter in one fell swoop.
Lyla and Buddy
can bite me. Buddy's a pig, and I lost the last ounce of sympathy for Lyla
tonight. She's a spoiled brat.
Riggins! Up until
the shot-down attempt at kissage, I was convinced that even he wouldn't go there.
He genuinely seems to like
Beau, and I don't want to think he's using him to get close to Mama.
Hmm, maybe I'm just hormonal tonight, but I was sighing like a fangurl an awful lot.
I actually
feel really sorry for Lyla. Buddy OTOH as a jackass. I don't know that scene at the Garrity's front door where she sees her dad trying, her mom accusing her of taking sides, then her mom dragging out all the past infidelity. I would probably lose my shit too. And she's totally right that just because she slept with his best friend, if he forgave her, to the point that he asked her to marry him, he's not guilt free if he cheats on her.
But then, I love them all!
'Cept Buddy.
See, Lyla lost me
when she started crashing into all of the cars on Daddy's lot, and then, for the cherry on top, drives a car right through the damned window.
Otherwise, I'm in total agreement with her actions and opinions up to that point.
I need to know that we have a second season of this show RIGHT NOW.
Make sure you do.
You say that like I might chicken out.
Look! --> MONKEYS!
Bones, hey was that chase scene showing some of that
parkour stuff that was in Casino Royale
? And even though I knew it could NEVER happen, I really wanted
Bones to go off to the Caribbean for a year.
I mean, how many chances like that do you get?
FNL: Oh, I dunno, I kind of liked Lyla
actually doing something there. She's been her Daddy's girl all along, after all. And I bet he could afford the damage. It was petty, but the girl is a spoiled 17: I got it.
I loved the boys--
all 4 of them!-- on the field, bonding in a way we've never seen before. "Chair says I win." Hah! And Tim and Jason, friends again! It was kind of like fic, but I'll take it--it's not like they didn't pay for it in angst along the way.
I would like it if the writers
played the Tyra and her mother issue out for longer. The whole class issue is so huge, and deserves more than to be addressed in one episode. But I trust them enough to keep it going, or I hope so. Such a tightrope Tami was walking there, trying to get Angela on board without saying, "I don't want Tyra to end up in a dead-end town with no job like you."
It's one thing to want your kid to do better than you, as a parent. It's another thing, it has to be,
to feel that your kid doing better means you suck.
Look! --> MONKEYS!
You can't distract me that easily. It's not like monkeys are shiny, or something.
Closer, but not quite.
Maybe you better try the guys in the Impala.
