I do not have the money, have no way of getting the money. I don't have the interest, and have no way of getting that. So then, why did my tax liability go up the amount of the interest?
I don't have an official answer or anything, but the money is yours, right? No one else has claim to the interest, it's just tied up in the escrow account? If you had put it in another account and it had drawn interest, it would be taxable. Interest on a CD is taxable in the year accrued, even if you can't cash in the CD. That's why I'd think it was taxable if it didn't have a special exemption, like an IRA.
Feh. Now that I think of it that way, you're right. Just pisses me off. If I can't spend it, why am I paying taxes on it?
Man, we get the thunder and lightning just in time to leave the office.
Nice.
I can eat jicama until I make myself sick on it. I love the stuff.
I can do this as well. And have. Mmm, jicama.
Bitch to prep though.
Also, extremely high avalanche danger about a block from my place.
That's just freaky! Avalanches should not happen in a town.
Beat ya.
edit: Oh, why is it only Wednesday, when my sleep deprivation insists it's Friday?
I can't handle the fact that it's only Wednesday. I could fall asleep right now.
snain

Have started packing for the con we're attending this weekend.(We're flying up tomorrow and coming back Sunday) My boxed and bagged kimono fits nicely in my shoulder bag, with enough space for the usual carryon stuff.
